Victoria and Alberts or California Grill?

Hey all,

I'm going to be going back to WDW in August and will be calling for PS the begining of next week. Can anyone tell me about these places? Not sure if we want to go to both of them this trip. I've done a lot of reading on both of them but figured I'd ask the experts. Anyone been to both that can give me and advice? Also, does anyone have any information about meal vouchers or anything like that for these places. Price isn't an issue, but always like to save a little when I can. Thanks!

Re: Victoria and Alberts or California Grill?

Victoria & Albert's and the California Grill are the two favorite restaurants of DW and myself. Living in Orlando, we go to the California Grill quite frequently and Victoria & Albert's for special occasions. You can't go wrong with either choice.

If it's romance you want, there is nothing more special than Victoria & Albert's. It's WDW's premier fine-dining restaurant, and the overall experience is incomparable. V&A's rolls out the red carpet for its diners, including a personalized menu to take home and a red rose for every lady.

Victoria & Albert's dining room seats just 60 in very intimate surroundings, and the menu is changed daily. The restaurant is one of 55 in the country that enjoys Five Diamond status from the American Automobile Association, an award it has received four years in a row.

The California Grill annually ranks among the finest restaurants in Orlando and is very popular with the locals as well. The food, service and atmosphere are terrific -- where else can you have a fine-dining experience while looking out over the Magic Kingdom through a panoramic glassed-in wall? When the MK fireworks begin, the lights in the restaurant are dimmed and the soundtrack is piped in through speakers. You can either remain at your seat, or go outside to a viewing area.

The menu changes periodically, but one of the things that's always on it is the oak-fired beef filet. If you like steak, it's better than anything you've ever had -- even at the high-end places like Ruth's Chris and Morton's.

You've put yourself in the delightful position of posing a question to which both answers are deliciously correct.

Yes sir, I argree with Park Hopper, not a bad decision for you! We have been to both and they are the absolute best Disney has to offer.Beef filet, pork tenderloin and a couple of flatbreads, holey moley sounds good to me!

Re: Victoria and Alberts or California Grill?

i love the california grille. i had the best chicken in the world there. and the desserts are to die for along with the view. try to get a view where you can see the castle. that's the view that rob and i got the night we ate there. i did find the place romantic because of the atmosphere and the view. the california grille is special to me because we ate there the night that rob proposed to me.

AWWW guys just have to say how I'm getting all wishy washy about all this disney wedding stuff. I didn't get married at WDW but I spent my honeymoon at the Floridian 8 months ago, and I just love how other people are all romantic too:)
