Trail's End for supper, worth going?
Has anyone been there and have you had a good experience? Is this in an air-conditioned interior? I don't think I could take more heat after a full day at the parks ;)
Also, would it be complicated to get there in the evening since we are staying at the All Star resorts? |

Re: Trail's End for supper, worth going?
This place is wonderful! It is a wonderful homecooking buffet and one of my personal fav's at WDW. Very relaxing!
Get there around 4:30 so that the kids can go on a pony ride at the petting zoo (the p[ony rides stop at 5:00) Then wander around looking at peacocks (look for the white one...it is awesome!) There is also a playground right next door that our kids always hit after dinner. We also explore the general store. Afterwards, you can head over to the campfire with chip and dale and watch a disney movie (for free...just bring your marshmellos!) and you could also go on a hayride and then watch the electrical parade from the beach at Ft. Wilderness!) Yes, It is air conditioned. Plan it on a day after you leave the MK or EPCoT. Go to the TTC (Transportation and Ticket Center). Take a bus from the TTC to Ft. Wilderness (find the one going to Pioneer Hall). After you leave, either take a boat from the dock at Ft. Wilderness back to the MK or take a bus to the MK and then a bus to your resort.

Yes!! Trails End is a great place, and the area is beautiful. We have always enjoyed it.
I can highly reccommend the breakfast buffet also. You may not have any characters, but you get lots of food for the price.
