Plaza Restaurant - Main St.

I've been to WDW 8 times and I've been in the MK on at least a dozen different days and until Monday, had never been to the Plaza Restaurant.

We had tried to get into the Crystal Palace without a PS but that wasn't going to happen. So the CM suggested the Plaza.

It was terrific! It was a very simple lunch. The iced tea was great, the food was above average, the service was good and the atmosphere was top-notch!

It was a great way to say goodbye to the World.

The Plaza is now our favorite lunch spot at MK.

Re: Plaza Restaurant - Main St.

The Plaza is at the end of Main St. Make a right to take the back way into Tomorrowland and it's right there, behind the ice-cream parlor.

Here's the menu: http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menu_pr.htm

It's a little more expensive than counter service, but, IMO, it's very worth it.

Re: Plaza Restaurant - Main St.

We ate a lunch there on our last trip, very enjoyable. Low key, quiet, good air conditioning and great sandwiches. We almost didn't make our PS, the kids were tired and wanted to go swimming, but we decided to go ahead. Was worth every penny. If you show up around 1 PM or so, one of the main street characters comes in and gives away dessert to the 100th patron each day. The people who walked in behind us all got free dessert.

The menu can be found at http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/men_prk.htm, but it's quite simple. Kids have a choice of a two mini hot dogs, two mini hamburgers or one of each or a grilled cheese. Each are served with fries.

Re: Plaza Restaurant - Main St.

We ate at the Plaza Restaurant twice on our last trip and loved it. It was a nice change from fast food but not as costly as most sit down restaurants. This is going to be our new lunch spot in the MK.

Re: Plaza Restaurant - Main St.

We just ate at the Plaza last week and it was great as usual. We try to make a point of eating there at least once on each trip. Oh and yes they do have a kids menu. It's a great place you should give it a try.

Yup, the Plaza is kind of an overlooked gem. The sandwiches are great and it's tough to find a better burger. It's a fabulous spot for lunch.

I'll echo that. In fact it's where I had lunch along with the rest of my family, Mr & Mrs Park Hopper and Mickaholic. Therefore it holds a special place in my treasure store of Disney memories.

The Club sandwich is so big, you'll wonder whether to eat it or climb to the top and stick a flag in it!!

Re: Plaza Restaurant - Main St.

We happened upon the Plaza by accident, we just wanted somewhere to sit down, in the A/C and have an ice cream. While we waited we saw some of the sandwiches and had to try it. We were wonderfully surprised! It was very good, and there was so much food. We will go back again.
