I voted for the Liberty Tree. Infact, we were so excited last week to find out they were open for lunch. So, of course DH, our DD, and myself had a great lunch there. Always enjoy eating there!!!! JOANN

Re: favorite MK table service place to eat

It was a difficult decision for me, as well. I like CRT and LTT equally, but I had to go with my heart on this one and picked CRT. I have enjoyed many meals there and it has become a tradition. I enjoy the food and the atmosphere and I loved it when it was King Stephan's. So, my heart went with CRT. I also love the food and the atmosphere and the character's at LTT and highly recommend it as well.

I didn't vote because we have never ate at any of these. At the MK we always seem to be off running. Maybe we need to try one of these?

Gosh! I did vote because I love eating at Crystal Palace but, in all fairness, I want to say that I have not dined at the others (although I hope to try at least one-LTT-on my next visit.)

Re: favorite MK table service place to eat

There are a couple reasons I have not eaten at the sit downs at MK.
1) No time, when at MK, taking time out to dine takes away from being able to ride the rides and watch the shows.
2) Fear that it will just be too crowded, which is the case with the counter service
3) I've heard Mk has the worst food out of all the parks!
4) the offereings are just never what I want at that time. Like Tony's I don't crave italian food when I am at MK, I prefer Churros, turkey legs, cokes, and maybe a burger.
To me MK is just like a giant magical carnival, so sit downs never popped into my head when I'm there. It almost confused me when I first learned you could have a sit down meal at MK!

While MK is certainly no Epcot, you really can enjoy it by doing less.

This past trip, we had already seen everything, so we took our time. We had the kids get their hair cut, we walked slowly from ride to ride. We did the TTA, we did the Carosel 6 times. Then, on the last day, we did much of the same. We did TTA 3 more times, carosel once, we FINALLY did Country Bears and we refused to wait in lines (75 minutes for Splash Mountain??? NO ride is worth 75 minutes!)

Then, we closed out the trip with lunch at the Plaza. It was so nice to be able to relax at the MK. We actually had the opportunity to giggle a little at some families who were CLEARLY doing a "commando style" day. Never again for me.

Re: favorite MK table service place to eat

Country bears!!!!! I had been trying to fit that one in, well next time, next time.
Also next time, I shall eat some meals off prop. Like I said somewhere else, I don't know if this trip was a goof, or I tried too hard, but only Ohana's was worth it to me. The restaurants off prop I have had better experiences with in the past, which is why I'm more uspet with the dining this go around!
Plus going commando is what it's all about! Unless you are staying 2 weeks and have an AP and unlimited funds, then take your time, I know I would!

Re: favorite MK table service place to eat

See, the thing is my family and I are not counter service people and we always do sit down meals. I can also honestly say that I have never in all of my years done Disney commando style, probably because when I was younger we went for a lot of smaller shorter vacations and MK was the only park. We camped at FW a lot and tended to breakfast and some dinners at our camper, so sit downs in the MK were a treat. Yay! King Stephan's (I mean, CRT.) Last year, when we took my DD for her first trip it was for 10 days (2 on the road, 7 at WDW) and I am just not a big fan of counter service. They remind me too much of fast food which I despise. My dd is also not a big fan of fried foods or french fries and I really like the break you get with a sit down meal, the A/c and having someone wait on me at most of them or the buffet and choosing what I like at others. There are some things that you just cannot get with counter service and true service throughout the meal is one of them.

By the way DST, if you want a truly exceptional meal in the MK, try LTT. It is exceptional and all you can eat served family style. It is southern style and as they say in the south -"It was so good, it'll make you slap your momma." I can't wait to go back this year with my mom and DD and we are taking my my stepfather. You thought ashley was picky - she can't hold a candle to this guy. If he doesn't like the food we'll all know it!!

Re: favorite MK table service place to eat

For my money, its Crystal Palace all the way. The food is excellent, and I love buffets! In my opinion, CRT is too expensive, TPR is too small, as for Tony's, I dont think any Disney restaurant does good Italian food. That may just be because I'm Italian and we tend to be picky towards non-homemade Italian food.
