Hoop Dee Doo?? What is it

Hi all,

I am making up our plans and am wondering what is Hoop Dee Doo? Is it a western dinner show like? Is it worth going and seeing.

Thanks,

Jena :)

Hoop De Doo Review is an all you can eat buffet dinner show. If you have ever been to the show in the Diamond Horseshoe Review in Liberty Square, or the Golden Horseshoe Stage in Frontierland (Disneyland), it is the same stuff, but much longer and much better. I would classify it as G-rated vaudville. Very intertaining, your kids will love it, and the food is great. This is one of the not to miss activities at WDW, though we have missed it everytime. You can make reservations up to 2 years in advance, and we only plan about 90 days out, so we always miss out on it. I don't think you will have a problem though, your guide should be able to get you in no problem. Make sure you do this, it will be one night your remember for a while.

This is a great show. My 10 year old daughter loved it when we saw it again this past June. We made our reservation about 2 months before the show, and they did accomodate all 7 of us at one table. Mickey is right, it is G-rated vaudville. The cast gets the audiance involved. It's a lot of fun!:) If you have a DC card or an American Express card, you get 10% off too.

My daughter and I did Hoop-dee-doo on our last trip and loved it. I made the ressie 10 months out and scored a front row by the stage seat. It was fabulous! It's a little pricey, but all in out worth every cent I think. Tables are assigned on a first come first served basis, so the longer you wait the further away your table is. If your trip if really close, I wouldn't do it. I don't think I would have enjoyed it as much if I was way back or in the balcony. Hey, you never know...you may like it that way. It is definatley something to take into consideration. Let us know!!;)

You can call up to the last minute for reservations, if they have seats, you will get tickets. Like I said, we called 2 months before our trip, and we did get a table for 7. We were on the first floor, center round table. Our seats were close to the stage and the performers come off the stage and they danced around our table and sang right next to us.
We went to the same show several years ago, and I make the PS probably a year ahead of time, and we were seated in the balcony. The first floor is better, but the balcony is not bad, you are just a little further from stage.
From a personal observation, I don't believe they do seating untill you check in. When you arrive and check in, I believe they check the floor chart for available tables, and assign you then. We did arrive at the show early and checked in, so that may have helped us getting a good seat too.
By the way, there is a petting zoo right near Pioneer Hall to keep you entertained before the show.:)

I am sorry if my information was incorrect, but that is what I was told by WDW dine when I booked my PS for the Hoop-dee-do. I was on the seating chart by name when I checked in. Also, I was ten min late for the show and my seat up front was waiting for me. Maybe they have changed it or do it differently now. I apologize if my information was wrong.:)
