Citricos vs. Narcoossee
We will be vacationing at the Animal Kingdom Lodge Nov. 1-8 to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We have been to several restaurants at the resorts and would like to eat at one we haven't yet tried. I have narrowed the list down to Citricos and Narcoossee.
I have read a few reviews from web sites and am still confused. Please give me your opinion. Should it be Citricos or Narcoossee? |

Welcome to Disney Central!!!
Since you will be there for your anniversary, I would recomend Narcoossee's. Citricos is nice, but Narcoossee's is out on the Seven Seas Lagoon (very romantic), and if you time it right, you can watch the fireworks over the MK! ![]()

Re: Citricos vs. Narcoossee
And if you miss the fireworks, there's also the floating light parade (that's not what it's actually called, I keep forgetting it.)
Narcoosee's is terrific because it's such a great restaurant for so many different occasions. Highly recommended.

Re: Citricos vs. Narcoossee
Narcoossee would get my vote. The food is great, the atmosphere is wonderful, we have always enjoyed dining there.

Re: Citricos vs. Narcoossee
Thanks for your advice. Narcoossee seems to have better atmosphere, but we're more interested in the food. We're not looking for food that's too fancy. We like steak, veal and seafood. Sauces are okay, but not too out of the ordinary. Which would you recommend based only on the quality of the food?

Narcoossee's: http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menu_nar.htm Citricos: http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/men_cit.htm Citricos is a little more pomp and circumstance while Narcoossee's is just a really good restaurant with good food.

Re: Citricos vs. Narcoossee
Guess I'll have to go against the popular vote here. Narcoosee's is a fine restaurant with good food, but for a special occasion-dinner I'd have to go with Citricos. I think the food preparation is much more ambitious and the quality is better (not that the food at Narcoosee's is bad).
Considering it's a special occasion, the atmosphere at Citricos is much more intimate. Narcoosee's is more of a family restaurant and you'll find it quite noisy with lots of children running around. Just my opinion.

Citricos is definately a notch up. It's definately a fancier restaurant. It would be a good choice for dressing up and having a "fancy" dinner. But if you want good steak, good seafood and just a good dinner, I'm gonna have to go with Narcoosee.

Re: Citricos vs. Narcoossee
But I ask you, HOW can you go wrong with a yard of Guinness?

Re: Citricos vs. Narcoossee
Go with Narcoossee's..... YUM
We had Filet Mignon and it was delicious. Also try the Dirty Banana Martini...... Melted Ice Cream, banana liuqeur, vodka, and a chocolate drizzle. It is to die for. We are heading there next time we go.... Great evening. |

Matt, you sound like my DH...except the Saints are his team of choice and there isn't a whole lot of "whipping up" going on with them...LOL As far as Narcoossee's goes...we've never been there but have a 6:30 PS for just the two of us on our upcoming trip, hoping to see the fireworks from there at 7:00. It'll be our one "just the two of us" dinner on the trip, so hopefully it lives up to our expectations! ![]()

I think the problem is Brooks. He's too inconsistent. As far as Narcoosee's, I guarantee you'll have a great time. The menu has actually been upscaled quite a bit since I was there, but I've heard nothing but great things about it.
