Re: Mexico restaurant

I can't believe it. I went to San Angel. And it was so awesome. There were 6 of us and everyone loved their food. One even said it was the best they had had in years and they went again that week for lunch. The first time I went it was okay but this time it was great. If you are an On the border person or taco bell or fast foody bready kind of mexican person you may not like it. you know like tacos and burritos. not much left to say it was great.

Re: Mexico restaurant

DH and I LOVE San Angel.....it's our first stop when we arrive in WDW. After checking in, we make a beeline to San Angel for lunch. I always get the Mexicana Ensalada. We actually look forward to it all year long. Atmosphere is amazing and the food is great.

Re: Mexico restaurant

Yes there was an Mexican restaurant in the Swan/Dolphin Complex. I believe it was called Juan and Only's. It closed several years ago.

I'd echo that! It's a lovely setting, but quite expensive for what you get.

Re: Mexico restaurant

I vote for lunch at San Angel. the Dinner prices are just too high for me. Besides, it's sooo much neater to eat there when it's sunny and hot outside and cool and dark inside!

Re: Mexico restaurant

I thought the food in the Inn inside the attraction was absolutely delicious! What did you have that you didn't like? It was such a romantic dinner that we were actually glowing the day we ate there during our first trip together.

I *JUST* ate at the Cantina for the first time last week - and it was suitable only because I was in a rush and by myself - but it was fast food Mexican. Not much of a notch above Taco Bell, imho.

I thought the food inside was more authentic in style and preparation, and you can't beat the atmosphere.
