Have you ever needed 30 minutes to make ONE PS!!??
This is actually kinda funny.
I called WDW-DINE to cancel one PS and make another. I swear to God, the CM that took my call must have just had her third cup of coffee, or else she's just naturally SUPER HAPPY! For some reason, she wanted to read the script about all of the happy things that I can do at WDW. And I kept correcting her.. or finishing her sentences. And yet somehow, she didn't get the hint!Ummm, hello!!! I've done this before! Um, yes I know about the Candlelight Processional. No, I don't want to make a reservation for dinner. Yes I know about the reserved seating. Yes, I know that it's Edward James Olmos. Yes. I know about MVMCP. Uh-huh, I already have tickets. Yes, I've heard about the decorations. Yup, I've been to DTD many times, in fact we have reservations for dinner there. Yes, I agree, Portobello's is a nice restaurant. It was hysterical. I was smiling the whole time, but just a teensy bit annoyed. 30 minutes to cancel one PS and make another. Well, maybe only 20 minutes. She did ask me if I wanted to confirm all the others, so that's what the other 10 minutes were for. She was so impressed that I had an 8:05 for CRT. ![]() Anyway, I just thought that was a funny story. Anyone else ever have a wacky phone call with Disney reservations folks?

The funny thing is, she didn't even get that part right. She decided to ad-lib and said something about hoping that she added a little pixie dust to my day, but she was tripping over her words as she said it. She couldn't have been funnier if she tried.

Re: Have you ever needed 30 minutes to make ONE PS!!??
I have had a few of the over-the-top Cms and definately like them better than the ones you have to pull teeth to get an answer from. These are the kind of CM's that will tell you anything....even about their personal lives...I have had that too. Funny story Matt. You should have played along...it would have added "pixie dust to her day".....

Re: Have you ever needed 30 minutes to make ONE PS!!??
I had a recent conversation with a disney representative about our hotel accomodation, we had to reschedule because of Huricanne Jeanne. She was extreemly jolly and very very helpfull. You have to understand in the UK we dont have very good customer service, infact its diabolical. Some places do make an effort but overall its pretty bad so I'm quite ammused by just how pleasent these conversations are, and when its somthing stressfull it can really take the edge off.

Re: Have you ever needed 30 minutes to make ONE PS!!??
You know, I am on the phone with Disney about 30 times per day, and it used to be that each one of them had to tell me everything that you can do, what is in each package, etc. Just lately, they have stopped doing that, saves me a bunch of time. Disneyland is still horrible about that. I cannot make a call there in less than 10 minutes.
Matt, I guess it is better than the other way around, the CM could have been grouchy, and not told you anything.

Re: Have you ever needed 30 minutes to make ONE PS!!??
I had a great call earlier this year. As I call transatlantic, I always try to make sure we keep the conversation moving. I also always push the button for people that live in Orlando. That way it cuts out a whole pile of rubbish. When I get connected I start by telling the CM that I'm calling from England and want to keep things as short as possible. This day I got through to the CM and spent about 2 minutes explaining why I wanted to be quick. "OK", I said as I finished my introduction. "Let's try and get this done in five minutes"
The amused CM replied. "I can do better than that, Sir. All our computer systems are down. Please call back later." Click! ![]() |

that is soooo funny ok I have to confess .. I am the one that ends up in deep long chats with CM's .. I love talking to them. Never have I gotten one that didnt mind listening to me talk about our last trip or favorite trip .. and when they start to tell me about something its always been something we have done ..so that starts a whole other chat :) of course since I use Mousketrips now .. I dont have as many fun CM chats. But the last one I had was after sending a letter telling them how much we loved the PC and .. the CM and I both said "have a magical day" at the same time :)
