Re: Funnel Cakes!!!

There is just a little white booth near the American Adventure in the World Showcase. It is on the Japan side, just follow the trails of powdered sugar.

It's right next to the American adventure. It is yummy, just like the county fair.

Re: Funnel Cakes!!!

Funnel cake is AWESOME!!!! Pete gets his turkey leg and I can get funnel cake...for us, living so near to Philadelphia, it's the only reason for us to visit the American Adventure.

Re: Funnel Cakes!!!

Funnel Cakes

1 c. confectioner's sugar
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
4 cups all purpose flour
1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1 TBSP baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
3 large eggs
2 1/4 cups milk
1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
2 cups veg oil(for frying)

Combine confectioners sugar and cinnamon in a bowl and set aside.

In a large bowl, sift flour, brown sugar, baking powder and salt.
In another bowl whisk together eggs, milk, and vanilla extract.
Fold dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and whisk until smooth(you may have to add a bit more milk if the mixture comes out too thick.

Heat veg oil to 360degrees(we use a large deep fryer).

DH then puts some batter in a gallon size ziplock, snips off one corner making a small hole, then squeezes the batter out into the oil..make figure 8 designs when squeezing the batter into the oil or just move the bag around so that you get the look of a traditional funnel cake.
Fry until golden brown and drain on lots of paper towels.
Sprinkle cake w/ cinnamon sugar and serve while it is still warm! Yum!

They also have funnel cakes as you walk into Liberty Square area in front of the MK castle on the right. We got one there.
