Priority Seating question
When we were at WDW (Nov.5 years ago) we walked into almost every ride and never had any problem making PSs the day before we wanted to eat at anyone restaurant.
My question is: How important is it to make PSs the week before Thanksgiving? have things changed since then? I don't know that we can actually schedule meals to the minute. Thanks for your help

Re: Merlin...Priority Seating Question
It really depends on where you want to eat. PSes aren't for scheduling meals to the minute and they do not work like reservations. WDW is very careful to tell you that, but if you want to eat at a character meal or one of the better dining establishments especially during a holiday period, I would say that you need should have a PS. If you need to cancel it you can, only a select few of them require a credit card deposit. There are some of them that you can make while you are there, but I would not rely on this during a holiday week like thanksgiving. I would make my PSes now if I were you. That is just my opinion.

Re: Merlin...Priority Seating Question
It's better to be safe than sorry. If there is some place I really want to eat I make a PS just to make sure we get to eat there. We always go during the summer so PS's are a must, this time of year isn't as busy but you just never know. It is so nice to know that we will have a place to sit down and rest while enjoying a good meal with little or no wait.

Re: Merlin...Priority Seating Question
One place that seems to be impossible to get into without a PS -even in the off season- is the San Angel Inn, the beautiful restaurant inside the Mexico pavilion at Epcot. In the off season, we've noticed that it doesn't require making the PS far in advance (the day before, often even that morning is usually OK), but whenever we've shown up without a PS (except once for a very early lunch), we've been turned away. I think it's a small restaurant in a prime location, and a lot of people want to eat there when they see it, so I think it fills up quickly with same-day PSs.

Re: Merlin...Priority Seating Question
I began a couple of threads that have a lot of very helpful information on Priority Seating, what they are and how/when to use them.
This one is one Priority Seating vs. Reservations: http://www.disneycentral.com/forum/s...ead.php?t=9672 And this one is more recent about how to use them and the typical ways that folks plan for Disney trips. http://www.disneycentral.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=11707 My ideas are only the tip of the iceberg, there were so many ideas and stories in both of those threads that provide the real insight into planning a truly magical trip. Hope this helps.

Dopey:
Please don't give me more credit than I deserve. I don't know nearly as much as many of the other folks here. Like I've said many times, I'm just louder about it. No need to address posts to anyone in particular. There will always be someone around to offer help.
