AARGHHH! Fantasmic Dinner

I have been trying, unsuccessfully, since my 90 day window to get ressies for the Fantasmic dinner package at H&V but not openings. I have been told by two different CMs that they will probably open more ressie time (currently only booked from 4-4:30) closer to the day. Has anyone else had any luck getting ressies in a similar situation?

Absolutely! Keep trying and you'll get what you want. If I recall, I went for the 2 week window and got a perfect time for our PS.

Re: AARGHHH! Fantasmic Dinner

hey kphil,
i have been unsuccessfully trying to reservations for any of the restaurants during any of 3 dates. i have tried everyday & yesterday was told that in the next week to week and a half they should be adding more times. the CM that i spoke with told me that they just received their schedules with the times & that the restaurants are typically a week or two behind. keep trying, i will be. as a matter of fact, i am trying every day! hope they don't get sick of me...oh well, i really want these ps's!!

Re: AARGHHH! Fantasmic Dinner

i have no idea about PS stuff because I've never done it but i do have a question sort of similar to yours....i think i read on allearsnet.com that sometimes Sci-Fi diner and Prime Time Cafe take PS seating for the Fantasmic dinner package....has anyone else ever heard this or did i just make it up? Also last time I went to MGM we saw the line was over an hour wait for Fantasmic and just said forget it.....it's just me and my dbf no kids or anything, do you think it's worth the wait??

I have never heard of those resturaunts taking PS for the Fantasmic! Package. There is a BIG difference in booking the Fantasmic! package, and a regular PS for these resturaunts. With the Fantasmic! Package you are paying slightly more for a garunteed seat, and quicker enterance to Fantasmic!, and you also get your dinner from H&V, Brown Derby, or Mama Melrosa's. H&V is the cheapest of the three, and is a great meal, so it books up pretty quickly. All those resturaunts take regular PS's after a certain time. The Fantasmic Package does require a credit card number, becuase it is very popular, and if you do not show you are charged $10 per person.

As far as time slots opening up, I am not sure how that works. It all depends on your dates. If it is totally booked right now, just keep trying every other day. If a CM tells you that later they will open up more time slots, then they probably will. However, I would not recomend waiting until two weeks before your trip.

Re: AARGHHH! Fantasmic Dinner

They do say 50's PTC and Sci-Fi are sometimes opened for the Fantasmic Pkg, but I haven't heard of anyone who actually got one there. So, I wouldn't hold out waiting for one of those restaurants.

Sometimes during very peak times, they are added. I haven't heard of it happening often though.

Re: AARGHHH! Fantasmic Dinner

We always eat at H&V, and have never seen the others offered, but there was no extra charge for the fantasmic package. It sure beats standing in line. I have even made the package after checking into our resort, so if you can't get through on the phone, try that.

Re: AARGHHH! Fantasmic Dinner

I had no problems when I booked for the 1st week of Nov., and I don't think I booked exactly on that 90 day mark, It mighta been a day off or so. But I got reservations for 4:30pm at H&V, I think that's all they had, cuz I wanted a later dining time.

Re: AARGHHH! Fantasmic Dinner

I got a 4:40 PS at H&V for November 1st not very long ago with no trouble. Just keep trying! :-) I originally made it for Mama Melrose for 4 people and then the rest of my party wanted to go, so I called and switched it to H&V for 11 people (Mama's couldn't take all of us at the same time). Good luck to you!

Re: AARGHHH! Fantasmic Dinner

Thanks to everyone who responded. I will keep trying to get ressies up until the day of. I spoke to one CM on Sat and she told me that they would not be opening up more times for the package since there were going to be 2 shows that night and the package is only for the first show. Has anyone else ever heard of this?

Re: AARGHHH! Fantasmic Dinner

I am calling tonight to make reservations for H&V Fantasmic Dinner Package for January 6, 2005. Hopefully I'll be able to book with no problems.

However, I am concerned that, since they still do not have the Fantasmic! show time for that day, I will end up eating dinner at 4 p.m.!!!!

Ciao,
Alfredo
