Any suggestions??

My family and I are going up to WDW at the beginning of November. My parents are going to the Food & Wine Festival and turning me and my little brother loose in the MK with no parental supervision. Don't know what they were thinking... But anyway, my parents want to meet up with us for dinner afterwards. Any suggestions for a nice (but somewhat cheap) restaurant that you think a family would like? Anything on property is fair game. Thanks in advance for your help!

Wow, thats a tough call. If you have been to Ohanas during your trip then go there. Epcot has so many great resturaunts, that it is tough recomending something outside. Tepanyaki Steakhouse is one of my favorites, it is in Japan.

Are you into characters? How about Chef Mickey's or Liberty Tree Tavern. Both offer characters, all you can eat family fare and not a bad price.

Re: Any suggestions??

For a "somewhat cheap" meal for a family at MK I would suggest the Plaza Restaurant. The place is so nice and the sandwiches are very good. It is a full service, sit down restaurant but it is really not expensive.

Great suggestions - thanks so much! You guys are awesome!

In case we don't get to meet up before the parks close, are there any good ones you've been to at the hotels or Downtown Disney?

Re: Any suggestions??

You should try Jiko at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. That's something I can't wait to do in Jan.

Re: Any suggestions??

Or, for a cheaper place than Jiko and perhaps more family-friendly, try Boma (also at the AKL). If you and your family like to try new things, the food there is amazing!! It's also a buffet, so folks can pick and choose what they'd like to try (or can just eat off of the children's buffet if they're not adventurous eaters).

I second the vote for Ohana, though -- excellent food and a decent price. Also take a look at the restaurants on the Boardwalk -- Spoodles will be fun for families!

If you don't have a set meeting time some restaurants may be hard to get in w/o a PS. I can't say enough about Earl of Sandwich at Downtown Disney. The sandwiches are the best I have ever had and the price is great-most are under $5.00. This place is worth a try, trust me!

Portobello Yacht Club is our favorite! We eat there twice every time we go down. We've made it a tradition to eat dinner there the first day.

Obviously, I highly recommend it. Also, if you do eat there, ask if Justin can be your server. Hands down, he's the best waiter in the place.
