We went to the HDD for the first time this past summer. The show was so fun and the food was very good. We had 2 six year olds and 6 adults and we all loved it. The six years olds laughed, and I mean laughed, from the start of the show to the end--they loved it. We decided it was worth going back to a second time so we have already booked it for our trip next summer.

I went for my senior trip WAY back in 91 and loved it. I went again with my DD in 2000 and loved it even more. We had the early seating too. Give yourself plenty of travel time to get there. The fastest way I know to get to FT wilderness is to take a bus to the magic kingdom and then take the shuttle boat to Ft wilderness. Bussing to ft wilderness from one of the other theme parks such as MGM, can be a very long time. The fastest way yet, would be to drive or take a cab. You are all going to love the show. It's great family fun and the food is great!

We too are considering this, however, we would be looking at the last seating 9:00 PM and I am concerned because we have a 2/3 and don't know if there is enough to keep her interest... She does not cost, but it is rather expensive for the 3 of us... so insight please will the 2/3 enjoy this as well??? or at least be somewhat comfortable?

Honestly Ron, I don't know if your 2/3 year old will be wanting a long dinner show at 9pm. Is she normally a night person or an early bed timer? You should really try to keep her normal schedule as much as possible. Is she is normally a night kid and goes to bed later, she will be fine as the show is very fun with singing and dancing etc. If she goes to bed normally early, I can't see how she will be able to stay up through this after a day of touring the parks. Maybe you should just wait for your next trip and stick to character meals with an earlier time? Just my suggestions../.you know what will work best for your family.

Unfortunatly she is A NIGHT OWL!!! But, I still don't know I may be pushing it too much... We may go to the 7:15, but that intrudes on park time... so I don't know...

We are putting HDD on our first day when we go and we are going to a first show. We picked this because we are staying at the Contemporary and want to make sure we have time to get back to the room and get comfy to watch Wishes off our balcony. Is it 2005 yet????

The HDD is my family's favorite. My girls have gone since they were babies and love it every time. I can remember my youngest sitting in a high chair and clapping a long with the music. The food is all you can eat BBQ ribs, fried chicken, homemade bread, salad and corn. And unlimited drinks including beer and sangria. I think your daughter would enjoy the show, but 9 seems late. We usually do the 5:00 show and then take the boat over to MK afterward for parade or fireworks viewing. I would recommend an earlier show for your little one, but you know her best.

Night owl huh? lol Mine was too. 7:15 won't interfere if you go to AK that day. Maybe schedule it for your AK day or a rest day.

Ron, we went to the 5:00 show and we were done and back to the MK that same night. If the hours are extended for early December you may want to think about the first show.

Wow, I wish my DD was a little more of a night owl. She goes to sleep at 6:00!! I am actually a little concerned about her in Disney. We have a few late night things (MVMCP, now Fantasmic), not to mention just the regular park days. I am hoping that she will be excited and entertained enough to hang a little later. Of course she can always sleep in her stroller.

Anyway I remember liking it very much. Of course we got caught in a rain storm waiting for the busses and ended up freezing (and soaking wet) in the air conditioned show. Oh well, we made the best of it.

We took our almost two year old and four year old on our trip in May. It was great! But I think we went to the 7:15 show. My little one is a night owl also. We stayed out late almost every night of the trip. You may be o.k. doing the nine o'clock show depending on what your plans are that day. You don't want to waste money on your ticket if she is not happy and you have to stand in the back or outside half of the time. But if she has a late nap that day she may be just fine. Good luck. You will definitely enjoy the show if you do go.

I think they are still doing it as part of the trip at Gateway. They had Mr. Didio up on stage as the ballerina when we went..lolol nuts!

My children took me for my birthday last Sat Nov 6 . I did enjoy it but felt it was to expensive.Plus it took time when I could have been the parks. I know some people love it, but I feel its something to do if you're there for a long time and have money to burn. And becouse it was my Bday present, I had to really lay on the praise .Tina

Went in 2001 and no one in my family liked it. Thought it was rather bad and expensive. There are reviews on DC so you can see other's opinions.
