Re: Grand Floridian Cafe

We go there for lunch almost every trip and love it. It's very spacious inside, with lace curtains and roses on the tables. Some of the window views are great views of the GF grounds. It's also a great way - if you're not staying there - to get to see the GF as you cross through the lobby to get to the restaurant. If you come in on the second floor from the monorail, you can even check out their giftshop on the way down. :) It's very quiet and relaxing, and not over priced.

Re: Grand Floridian Cafe

My worst experience ever on our recent trip was at this restaurant.
I got a PS at the last minute, the beepers weren't working, we all kept running up to the podium like wtf??? They made us wait forever, and then made us wait forever for our food, even our drinks was a long time. The couple next to us were seated after us and got their food b4 us, they were practically done eating by the time we got our food (after I complained).
Ohhh we had breakfast there, I had no gripe with the food though.
We wanted to do something other than a buffet, the prices were ok.

Next time though, I will not book a PS there for Breakfast!! I rather go to a buffet because you get in and out faster.
Our PS was for 9:30am and we didn't leave there till 11:00!!

Nope, not me, it's a shame though....

I've eaten there many times. The food is very good, but I prefer the breakfast.

Re: Grand Floridian Cafe

I enjoy making a stop here, particularly for lunch when we are at the MK. For us it's been quiet, elegant, and best of all - air conditioned. A nice little retreat from the madness of the parks.

Re: Grand Floridian Cafe

I have lots of memories as a kid doing the Character Breakfast when they had it at GFC back in the late 80s-early 90s....we still make it a point to eat breakfast there once on every trip

never ate lunch or dinner there....but the breakfast is always good, and its a more quiet/laid-back alternative to the more "crazy" Park Fare

Re: Grand Floridian Cafe

I think the food is pretty decent. When I used to go to the Magic Kingdom alot I would take a lunch break there. As geeman said it is fairly quiet and cool a nice break from the crowds of the Magic Kingdom.
