Epcot Restaurants

We are trying to find a location for dinner at Epcot during our next visit in 4/05. What is the best "Kids" friendly restuarant for dinner in Epcot?

Oooohhhh Kid friendly, technically all returaunts in WDW are kid friendly, but we all know that others are better than others. I would recomend the Japanesse Steak House, and also the Biergarten in Germany. The Japanese Steakhouse I would say is kid friendly because they basically put on a show, but at the same time they are cooking your food. Also, I have never been to Biergarten, but am going there this year, and hae read lots of reviews. It sounds like it is a very festive place.

Re: Epcot Restaurants

Disneyguy, thank you for your input. After reading your reply, I realized I did not ask my question correctly -- It's past my bed time. What I actually wanted to know was which restaurants offer the best kids menu. My DH was thinking about the Coral Reef but I haven't heard the greatest things about it lately.

Re: Epcot Restaurants

Coral Reef, in my experience, has been a nightmare. The Biergarten has good entertainment (and every kid likes sausages, right?) And though Alfredo's (Italy) is boring for kids, they've got a decent kids' menu, too. Check www.allears.net -- they've got most of the menus posted, and may have kids' menus as well.

Re: Epcot Restaurants

The Biergarten is good, they have an oompa band. Coral Reef was excellent ! We went there in March for my 30th and the only downfall was that it was smack dab in the middle of peak season and spring break( UUUGHHH , never again, but hey you only turn 30 once, right ?)so we had an extrememly long wait even though we had a PS .

Re: Epcot Restaurants

How about the Garden Grill at the Land? It is pretty regular food; chicken, salad, mashed potatoes, etc. And their are characters there! Mickey, Minnie, Chip and Dale dressed in farm gear!

Re: Epcot Restaurants

Personally, I really do not like the Coral Reef. I think it is overpriced, and some of the worst food in Epcot. Epcot is so diverse I like to take advantage of that!!!

BTW: All Disney resturaunts have the typcial back-up kids menu with hamburgs, hot dogs, and mac-n-cheese.

Is that still open?? With everything inside that Pavillion begining to shut down for a rehab, be sure to check close on that one if you are more than a month out.

Re: Epcot Restaurants

I think the Garden Grill is going down as they put the finishing touches on Soarin'. Probably closed from January through to April 1, 2005

Re: Epcot Restaurants

Biergarten! Biergarten! Biergarten! And be sure to have the hot, fresh-baked pretzel dinner rolls! This place is so fun! The kids can help themselves, and there is entertainment. The food is yummy, and the place is BEAUTIFUL, inside and out! WE LOVE BIERGARTEN!

Re: Epcot Restaurants

I think the American Adventure has the best menu for kids. What kid doesn't like hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken and french fries? Although it is counter service.
Here is the menu:
