Visa Rewards Card question....

Does anyone know if you can use the rewards cards at the snack carts...popcorn, mickey bars, etc. I would love to be able to never have to get out any cash for my small popcorn habit!

Re: Visa Rewards Card question....

You can use the reward cards anywhere that is set up to take plastic. If it's a cash only cart, no-go! But it's really convenient for restaurants, stores, etc. They do it like a gift card & print your new balance on the receipt & everything. We used it for the first time in May at DLR & it was wonderful.

Thanks so much! You know...I've never noticed whether or not the popcorn carts take credit....probably not, but it sure will be good to use at dinnertime!

no...the carts are cash only. But you'll love it anyway. It's always fun to spend money that you've been "given" too! Enjoy!

We used our card to buy souveniers and pay for the Hoop De Doo, too! You'll have to pay cash for your popcorn/mickey bar fix, though.

Re: Visa Rewards Card question....

I have a visa card story-
This afternoon I had my travel agent put a payment on the card- I have been putting $1500 on and then paying it off and doing it over and over so I can get all the reward dollars. She said that the card got declined- I went nuts because they owe me like $300. I called disney visa and they said that they were holding my payments untill 12/14 to watch my account. It was suspected of money laundering or that was what I was told. That is nuts! I told him what I was doing and the account mgr checked the history and called my bank to verify the funds- OMG! I told him that the 14th wont work since I have to have the whole thing for my group of 18 paid for by the 15th. Its all taken care of now but what a pain in the behind!

I know what you mean. They went through this thing where anytime I used my card to buy something FROM THE DISNEY STORE ONLINE!!!!! or when I travelled (even when I did the Disney cruise) they would put a "security block" on my card & decline all further purchases until I called them. I finally had to really raise a stink with their security department to get them to stop it. It was really frustrating though!

Re: Visa Rewards Card question....

I saved my Disney Reward dollars and paid for our golf cart at Fort Wilderness... It was almost $400! I never would have splurged, but using my Reward $ made it seem "free".

CM's can't even get a discount at the carts. They are cash only, They aren't set up for discounts.

I'm drooling just thinking about them! Why does the popcorn taste so much better walking down Main Street??

Re: Visa Rewards Card question....

We are planning on going on an excursion to Atlantis with our reward dollars.
I sometimes wonder if they have caught on to the fact that Im just raking in the rewards and not paying interest and that is why they are giving me such a hard time. Wait till they see that I am really going to push it with a Mattress as well- $2500 on top of paying for everyones trip will be about $300 disney rewards! WooHoo!!

You know...I've wondered the same thing. I'm not paying them anything, they're giving me money. Like I've said earlier, I put EVERYTHING on the card & pay it off at the end of the month. That includes DD's college tuition, & Rafikiman's reimbursable business expenses. (He just went to a $3300 training thing for work that we put on our card & then got reimbursed for!!! Sweet...right before our WDW trip!) I understand that they're getting transaction fees everytime I use the card, but still... It's gotten better since I raised the roof with their security dept.

Re: Visa Rewards Card question....

well i have not raised the roof yet but I was really laughing at the comment about money laundering! I only have a $2000 credit line on this card! And its all disney charges to boot! DUH! I wonder if he felt stupid after he said that to me since I was laughing so hard.

We do the same thing....rack it up, then pay it off. I hope they don't give me any trouble!
