PS disappointment

As some of you may know, we just booked a last minute trip to WDW for the week of Jan. 23rd. It will be the youngest DD's 6th birthday, so I want it to be special. I called to get CRT, and not suprisingly they were all booked up. OK, I'll take Princess Storybook . Nope, booked up all week.

Okay, I'll shell out the $200 for the extra special princess tea party. After all, you are only 6 once! Nope, booked up all week.

Wow, is this an especially busy week or something? I have never had such problems getting a PS and now my princess won't be seeing any princesses.

All I can say is to keep trying. You might get a last-minute cancellation.

Keep calling back. You pick three very popular PSs, CRT sells out daily even in the off season. CRT has to be cancelled at 48 hours so that would be your best time to snag a PS. Good luck!

I have read that the so called off season is over as we once knew it. More and more people are heading to WDW in the fall and winter to avoid the high summer crowds. I am not sure if this is true but time will tell.

Karliebug you could also try 1900 park fare for dinner ( that one I think has the princesses too ) just a suggestion but also keep calling they might suprise you and have a opening

Ah, Karlibug ~ sorry to hear about your PS problems.

When I schedualed the princess tea party, I told my girlfriend to make sure she called that day as well (for her and her daughter) Well, lets just say she blew it off, figuring "Jen will just take care of everything"(Don't get me going on this...) Well, she called me LAST WEEK and ask me to call. Is she kidding me. Well, there were no openings. But the CM did tell me that I might have a chance if we call 48 hours in advance. He said it's not uncommon that people cancel at the last minute.

I've read that ToonTown now has a meet 'n greet specifically for Disney princesses. There's Story Time With Belle, held daily at the castle. Ariel's grotto. Last year, I ran into Jasmine right next to the Magic Carpet ride. Snow White is a regular at the German Pavilion at EPCOT.

At age six, I'm sure you're daughter isn't looking for the character meal, as much as a chance to meet the princesses. I'm certain you can satisfy that wish, CRT or not.

I can't offer much else other than, if you are staying at one of the deluxe resorts, the concierrge can sometimes pull off miracles.

I am so very sorry about you not being able to book the princesses. Do what tiggerlover says and book that 1900 park fare dinner. It has cinderella! Keep trying back for cancellations, but keep the 1900 one just incase. Good luck. If you need any help manning the phones when the 48 hour part gets closer, MP me. I can help. I am off that day! It's the day before I travel. I would be glad to help if you want.

Here is an update! I called today and got the Princess tea party thing on her birthday!!Yea! I also was able to get the Princess Storybook Breakfast in Epcot, but had to book it as 2 tables(a table of 2,and one for 3). But that's not so bad. Anyway, my dd will get to see the princesses on her birthday. That just shows you that if you keep calling it may pay off because yesterday both locations were booked solid.
