Dining Plan???

Unfortunately, I'm hearing more and more bad things about the dining plan and packages. For one, you can't book a package for more than 8 nights and that only includes 7 day tickets, and I've heard from some people when they called Disney Dining that there are very few restaurants at Epcot you can go to(Like 5), I have sent an e-mail to Disney with some questions(LIke a list of restaurants). I will let everyone here now what I heard when I get the e-mail.

Re: Dining Plan???

Why can't you book more than 7 days? This is the first I am hearing this one. 5 restaurants in Epcot? hmmm I am waiting to see what WDW has to say about that. 5 is Epcot isn't that bad, but there are so many there....why only 5 is a good question. I know that signature restaurants are suppose to be off limits or use two of your meals to eat thee...makes sense if you compute the cost of the meal plan and determine how much these meal cost. Please do share your email with us. I really want to learn all I can about this new meal plan.

Re: Dining Plan???

I am still waiting to hear if there is some way that people with AP 's can take advantage of the meal plan. There should be something for us,too.

Re: Dining Plan???

I think it would be a big bummer if APers couldn't do a meal plan. I always go to Disney during my spring break week, and this year I think I can afford the 35 dollar a day meal plan.

Re: Dining Plan???

According to the list at Mousesavers, these are the restaurants you can eat at in Epcot under the new dining plan:

Sit Down:
Biergarten Restaurant
Les Chefs De France Restaurant
Le Cellier Steakhouse
Mitsukashi Tepanyaki
Nine Dragons Restaurant
Restaurant Akershus
Restaurant Marrakesh
The Rose & Crown
San Angel Inn
Garden Grill

For the counter service portion and the snack portion there are even more listed.

You can see all the restaurants here:

Re: Dining Plan???

The Italian one and Garden Grill, I think are the two that need them, Mickaholic.

Re: Dining Plan???

Erin, I think that Garden Grill only takes one, but California Grill requires 2. I could be wrong, but I read it in a couple of places. I h ope you know I am not trying to be rude, just passing on what little information I know. As of now, we can't add the dining plan to our reservation, but I am hoping that before my next trip I will be able to. It will save us alot of money.

Re: Dining Plan???

We always just eat "ala carte". We plan some PS so that we do not eat chicken fingers 24/7. The more complicated these plans get, the happier I am that we keep this informal. Just a thought.

Re: Dining Plan???

THe Mousesavers list is fairly accurate, According to a post I saw somewhere, Disney has made LeCellier(sp?) and Brown Derby 2 meals now. And the limited restaurants was posted by a couple people who called Disney Dining, but until I get an e-mail from Disney, I really don't know
