Anniversary Dinner: Pick One!
I have had tons of great suggestions for our anniversary dinner in WDW, but now I am having a terrible time deciding! DH says I have to plan the trip all myself...he wants to be surprised.
Oookay then...So pick one of the above, or suggest a new one! ![]()

I've never been to any of those restaurants, but I think you should go all out and go to V&As
Dress up, and really enjoy the moment. It might be the only time you feel like a grown up while you're there. (Which is a good thing!) |

You should view the menus at the all ears net and decide yourself. All of the restaurants you have listed above have high quality food and good atmosphere. You should decide on your favorites.

Re: Anniversary Dinner: Pick One!
I think that you should think about what you really want. I think that in a previous thrread you were wanting something Romantic and yet not overly expensive. If I am wrong here, I am sorry--it could have been another poster. I haev heard that the Rose and Crown can be romantic especially if you watch Illuminations from the patio. That said, I will vote for Rose and Crown because they have good food, are more economical, and it can be romantic especially if you watch Illuminations on the patio. If you are wanting to go all out then Victoria and Alberts would be the place to go. Hope I've helped a little

I voted for other. Jiko would be a great choice. Great food, quiet, beautiful restuarant. I also think California Grill or Artist's Point would be good choices as well.

Kim,I know you wanted to see Illuminations from R&C. You should do that for your anniversary dinner, making sure when you make the PS that they know it's your first anniversary.

Re: Anniversary Dinner: Pick One!
My husband and I had a wonderfully romantic time at California Grill. We got there an hour before our reservations and they were running behind, so we sat at the bar and were treated royally. When they buzzed us to be seated, we were placed next to a window, and not five minutes later, the lights went down and we were treated to the fireworks above the Magic Kingdom! But, as an added treat, you can hear the same music inside the restaurant that you do in the park! Thinking about it now is making me cry. The rest of the meal was great; the castle changed colors all night long and we got to see the water parade, as well. Very romantic and I hope to return! Wherever you choose, enjoy!

Re: Anniversary Dinner: Pick One!
I always wanted to go to California Grill and time it so that we are having coffee at fireworks time! And I have celebrated at R&C during fireworks, which was very lovely. However, I have heard that V&A's has a "chef's table," which sounds magical and splendid and apparently includes food that is unimaginably good.....

Re: Anniversary Dinner: Pick One!
I picked California Grill, but a close 2nd would have to be flying fish cafe on the boardwalk. If you go in the evening, at the latest PS, it's pretty calm and quiet and the food is amazing. The boardwalk is a nice and romantic, and you can take a romantic stroll before or after dinner. CG is really great too. Neither one is too "stuffy", but the food is fantastic at both.

Re: Anniversary Dinner: Pick One!
Le Cellier because it is in the Canada Pavilion (check my location!). Also, when dinner is finished, just step outside to watch Illuminations!

Re: Anniversary Dinner: Pick One!
I voted California Grill. The food was just amazing there and not too frufru for my tastes. The view from CG is breathtaking as you sit at your table and watch the castle change colors. And if your lucky enough to time it out to watch Wishes it can't get more romantic.

Re: Anniversary Dinner: Pick One!
I voted for California Grill as well, but we're actually struggling with this a bit ourselves, because our trip this May is for our 10th anniversay
. Our honeymoon was at Disney and we did a lot of great and memorable dining (on the Grand Plan--that was nice), including Artist's Point and V&A. But California Grill hadn't opened (if I'm not mistaken), so my vote is really just our current choice. With the renovations at CR, however, this has come back as an issue.Has anyone here dined at the Chef's table at V&A? That would definitely tempt us... DT

Re: Anniversary Dinner: Pick One!
Thanks for all your help guys! I think I will leave this poll open a while longer, just to get as many opinions as I can.
I'm still deciding. ![]() We're very casual people overall, and don't usually eat "fancy"...pretty much anything over Denny's is "fancy" for us... And Pooh Fan, you're right. I am trying to plan our anniversary fairly inexpensive. But I guess I've decided that splurging on dinner is okay!
