Suggestion for Late Lunch at DTD?

We have to be at Cirque show theatre at 5:15 for the 6pm show. Thought we'd feed the kids a (big) late lunch at DTD before that, and have a "treat" after the show somewhere. Thinking of Plant Hollywood, Raintree Forest or Cap'n Jacks. Price is not an issue since we'll be using our "wishes" from our Silver plan. Want to get the most for our $ (since it's already paid for). Any suggestions?

Pete and I like the Rainforest Cafe. We aren't always the most adventurous when it comes to dining (we like burgers and salads, etc.). It's amazingly decorated, and we eat there almost every time we visit.

Planet Hollywood is a neat place. Depending on what type of movies they are into, there is a lot to look at while waiting and eating. It's a little bit closer than Rain Forest, never at at RF though.

For a snack after, go to Ghiardelli's for ice cream. Never been, but hear it is fantastic. We are definately not missing that one on our next trip.

Re: Suggestion for Late Lunch at DTD?

I think I'll flip a coin in the morning before I make our PS...heads- Raintree, tails- Planet Hollywood. The kids like to play "I Spy With My Little Eyes...Something that is..." when we go out to eat. Guess either one of these 2 places will keep them busy while waiting for the food. Thanks for the input.

Re: Suggestion for Late Lunch at DTD?

I would say Earl of Sandwich and Ghirardellifor Ice Cream. I have tried them both and they both are excellent. The sandwiches at the Earl are delicious and Ghirardelli is absolutely scrumptious and they have the biggest cookies you have ever seen in your life.

Re: Suggestion for Late Lunch at DTD?

Does anyone know of a 3-sided coin? I may have to get out the dice for this one. The cookies sound great.

Rainforest and Planet Hollywood are both interesting atmospheres if that is what you are looking for, but my money would go to the Earl of Sandwich for the food anytime!!

Re: Suggestion for Late Lunch at DTD?

I liked Planet Hollywood ok, but I LOVE Rainforest Cafe. I drag my parents there everytime we go to DTD for dinner. The thunder storm scares me everytime it starts! My vote would go to RFC. And of course a little Ghiradelli's ice cream for dessert... ;)

Re: Suggestion for Late Lunch at DTD?

I have to agree with Earl of Sandwich and Ghirardellifor Ice Cream...stay away from Bongos for lunch...Capt Jacks would be another place to look into if you like sea food.

Personally I don't like PH or RFC. I would rather go to a place I can't find away from the World. *duck*
