Chef Mickey's PS

Hi everyone,

I know Chef Mickey's is a super popular character meal. I am helping someone else out with planning her trip to WDW starting March 11 and she really would like to go to Chef Mickey's for dinner. She is not sure how many people will be in her party yet though so hasn't called WDW-DINE. Is it usually tough to get a PS at Chef Mickey's because it is so popular?

Thanks!

Karen

Re: Chef Mickey's PS

When we were there in June, I was able to make a last minute dinner PS at Chef Mickey's. The CM told me that I was lucky because it was booked otherwise. Thank goodness because I had to cancel our breakfast reservation and we really, really wanted to eat there at some point during our trip.

Re: Chef Mickey's PS

I would make the ps now for the approximate number you are thinking. Then when you get the accurated count, call and change the number. Book the high number so that when you call you are taking people off the PS. Once you book it would be hard to add additional people. I hope this makes sense.

Re: Chef Mickey's PS

I agree with the other posters, make the PS now and call back to drop people as plans firm up. When we go to CM it is always packed and PS are a must.

Have fun helping out with the planning.

Re: Chef Mickey's PS

I had a tough time getting a PS there last year for the time we wanted to eat.
I recommend calling right away.

Re: Chef Mickey's PS

I would def. call and make a PS now. The night we went it was packed to the gills. Not a single table was empty and they were not taking any walk ups either..PS's only.

Re: Chef Mickey's PS

You don't necessarily have to call WDW-DINE. The toll-free numbers in the sticky on the resorts page have an option to make dining reservations.

I agree with all of your advice. However KARENWDWCP, it is worth the hassle. You will love it!!

Re: Chef Mickey's PS

I just made a PS 5 days ago for Chef Mickey's on March 6th for dinner. When I called again to ask about a different night, they were booked. So, like everyone said, just make the PS as soon as you can. You can always call back and tell them there will be less in your party. We had to do that once. No big deal. But Chef Mickey's is well worth it.

I just made a breakfast PS for May. I asked for the last available seating hoping we'd have more time with the characters. Glad to hear your experience!
