Icon14 Recommendations for Counter Service Food?

I'm quite familiar with the full service restaurants at WDW. Not so with the counter service offerings. Please tell me which are your favotires at each of the parks, and what is your favorite food offering at them. Thanks!

Re: Recommendations for Counter Service Food?

We like Pecos Bills at the MK. The have good burgers and there is a fixin's bar with any topping you could ever need.

In Epcot we like to snack our way around the world and eat a little in several places. The fast food counter in Mexico is always good.

I can't help you with MGM--we usually leave there and head to the Boardwalk and hit ESPN if we want fast food.

Re: Recommendations for Counter Service Food?

Pecos Bills at MK, Flametree BBQ at AK. St Angel's Cafe at EP but the food is a little spicy for kids.

Unoff. guide has good reviews on counter services restaurants as well.

Either Pecos Bills or Pinnochio's at MK, Backlot Express at MGM, and Electric Umbrella at Epcot.

Re: Recommendations for Counter Service Food?

I love ABC commissionary in MGM. In mk, we usually take a break at our resort for lunch, but somtimes head to cosmic rays. Epcot is usually just the American Pavilion's fast food...can't remember the name.

Our favorite is Pinnochio's in Fantasyland. Be sure to try to snag a table upstairs on the outside balcony. You can see all of Fantasyland - It's just beautiful!!

Tusker house in AK. Fast food, but not hamburgers and fries. We can only do so many hamburger in one week.

Re: Recommendations for Counter Service Food?

We also like the ABC Commissary at MGM and I thought the chicken quesadilla at ASMo food court was GREAT!!! Other than that we didn't do much counter service on our last trip, but as the next one will be longer we'll definitely do more...I'm enjoying the suggestions posted by others....thanks for this thread!

Re: Recommendations for Counter Service Food?

We love Casey's and Pecos Bill's in the Magic Kingdom, Tusker House at the Animal Kingdom (especially for breakfast), and the Electric Umbrella at Epcot. Unfortunately (or fortunately, in my opinion) we usually eat sit-down food at MGM and in Epcot's world showcase, so I don't have any counter service favorites there (though the fiesta margaritas at the cantina in Mexico can't be beat!).

Good luck!

Re: Recommendations for Counter Service Food?

At MK: Pecos Bills for sure, with Cosmic Rays a close second.
At Epcot: The Electric Umbrella, and the American counter service in World Showcase
At MGM: Backlot Express (never any crowd)
We are usually done at AK by noon so we head to DTD to Earl of Sandwich...don't miss this one!!!

Re: Recommendations for Counter Service Food?

i had good french toast sticks at the Electric Umbrella in Epcot. DH liked his breakfast rollups too.

They are refurbishing the Plaza Pavillion in Tomorrowland and it will serve oriental noodles, asian salads, etc. - looking forward to trying that!

Don't forget the turkey legs....

Re: Recommendations for Counter Service Food?

At MGM I love the 'Starring Rolls Cafe'. They have some great pastries and coffees and a great place to sit outside and people watch while enjoying the food.

At Epcot it's 'Kringla' because it is a little taste of home. But as we all know, Epcot is full with great counter service places.
