Dab,

Goosebumps have been here since 20 days out...:laugh  I am kind of just letting time pass. Each day is quietly and slowly (way too slow) drifting into another. I have been going to bed earleir just so the day would end and be closer to Mickey Day!!

About the breakfast at CRT, I went there in 1997 and Peter Pan was indeed the highlight of the meal. He really gets into character and is such a wake-up call. (I mentioned this is another post so sorry to all for repeating myself.) My daughter was in love with Peter big time for about three days or so:laugh She was very little and I guess crushes don't last long then. I like to mention that when her frineds are over.....:laugh :laugh I know I'm brutal..have to get back at her for all those 3am feedings somehow....lol I am giddy today. 7 1/2 days left of waiting for time to pass does that to a girl.

Goofy1 - Crystal Palace will be closed until December 15. I don't know when you will be there, but here's the information:

Crystal Palace rehab

CRC - Welcome to DC! Hope you have a ton of fun! We live on the Seacoast of NH, and dittos on the ethnic diversity and the daughters loving the exotic princesses. She says Cinderella is boring and Aurora isn't adventurous enough (sleeps too much) She is Mulan for Halloween this year.

Fortunately, we arrive on Dec 20th. We have yet to make a PS. I believe it is a 60 day in advance PS so that gives me a couple of weeks to finally decide.

Woohoo!! You are *psyched!* We leave on the 8th, and I am sorely bummed about missing CP. I was hoping to go there for dinner one night.

We've read about the Storybook Princess breakfast and it sound sgreat since my brother is going with us and he happens to be a fan of Norweigan culture (not that the princesses would be Norweigan mind you!) I have a few questions.

Since we'll be there the week of Halloween, how far in advance would you suggest to make a PS/reservation for that breakfast?

And since when is Mary Poppins considered a princess? (LOL)

What other events (of that nature.. what's this about an ice cream social?) go on during the day? It's been years since I've been to Epcot, so I'm not that familiar with all the new things. I have an 11 year old daughter and a three year old, and it WILL be Halloween. We plan on being at the MK the night of Halloween, perhaps something is going on during the day at Epcot?

Thanks for any info :)

Akershaus Restaurant is beautiful. We haven't eaten there for lunch or dinner but I hear it is very good for those meals (maybe more Norwegian culture for your brother at lunch & dinner) . The Storybook Breakfast is a new character meal they just started and it is really special. Since it is so new, it doesn't fill up as fast as Cinderella's Royal Table so you can probably get a PS NOW... it books 120 days out. I hope you can get a seating. Mary Poppins is a fiend of the princesses and also makes appearances at Cinderella's Royal Table... very sweet! Please be aware that with all of the character meals the characters are subject to change. They post a list of who is usually there but there is always the possibility of one or more of them being replaced.
The ice cream social is at Epcot's Garden Grill restaurant located in the Land. There is a designated time for it - in between lunch and dinner service (around 3:00 or 3:30, call to find out).
We were there Halloween week last year but not Halloween day and it was so much fun. The only thing they had going on at Epcot then was the Flower & Garden Festival - nothing Halloween related. Maybe others have more info on Oct. special events for you. Have a great trip!

Goofy1,

Just wanted to let you know that I called WDW 2 days ago to try to make reservations for CP on 12/19 and was told they were not accepting any PS at this time due to the rehab. They suggested calling a week before they are due to open. However, one thing I've learned in all the planning and calling I've done for this trip is NOT TO WAIT TOO LONG AND BE PERSISTENT. I'm going to try calling in mid-Oct. again.

Enjoy your trip!!!!:)

Strategy for Princess breakfast?

Ok so we called and got all our reservations and PS's tonight and sure enough I TOLD HIM WE SHOULD HAVE CALLED EARLIER .. the Princess Epcot Breakfast is booked. We are going to call every day (rather HE is) to see if there are any cancellations, but I was curious if any of you had any tips on a good way to get into that breakfast. What are the chances of walking up and being able to get in? Any particular times or days where there's a better chance of getting in? Now it's like I'M ON A MISSION!!!

Any advice greatly appreciated :)

Sorry to hear it is already booked up. Did you try for all of the days of your stay or just one? It is probably booked for the entire week but it couldn't hurt to check. Keep callling to see if there are cancellations. I would call WDW dining every day from the hotel and hope for cancellations. You might also try stopping by in person to have them check the list. You could also find out what time the last seating is and go by one morning hoping for a no show. Perhaps you could get in at the latest seating time if they get everyone in. Take walkie talkies and let the others in your group go on rides or around WS while you wait.

I did not know that. Makes sense I guess because we could not get into Caribbean Resort even though it might be open by then for the same reason. We will have to take this into consideration in our PS plans

Thanks Belle

Yeah, this is my strategy now. I'm having the SO call every day to check, and we check for the entire time we are there, and nothing. *sigh* So here's to hoping and stalking! :)
