CRT and dresses?

I am planning on taking DD to CRT for breakfast one day. In alot of the pictures you see the little girls all dressed up. Is this customary to dress like a princess to dine with princess. Just wanted to know if I should be on the look out for a dress.

Re: CRT and dresses?

Some of the girls at CRT were dressed up and some were not. My DD did dress up and she had a ball. They made a fuss over her and the princess she was dress like was really great with her! I think it was worth it, but make sure you bring extra clothes! We asked the lady in Tinkerbell's treasures for a big bag to put her dress in and she was happy! The pictures were great!

My DD also dressed up and had a ball! The bus driver made a huge deal over her that morning when we boarded. Lots of the guests also were making a fuss over how cute she was, she ate it up! We did take a change of clothes and changed her immediately after.

Re: CRT and dresses?

I often see little girls dressed up having a great time (be sure to bring clothes to change into, though, because when that midafternoon heat hits, the last thing she'll want to be wearing is layers and layers of satin and tulle!). Often, Cast Members will call her by the name of the Princess she's dressed like (i.e. "Well, hello there Snow White! What are you doing so far away from the forest?") Very cute.

Re: CRT and dresses?

My 5 year old dresed up, but since we went in August, the heat was unbearable. She wore shorts under her dress and after breakfast we changed her into her shirt in the restroom. It was much to hot to wear the dress all day. CM's referred to her as "princess" and it was fun. Check ebay for dresses or your local party city type store.

Re: CRT and dresses?

The first time we took our oldest(now 9) she was 3 and dressed as Snow White. There was no one else dressed as a princess when we were there and she loved the attention she got from everyone as we walked around Fantasyland afterwards. As we were leaving a CM came up to us and told us the Dwarfs were all in the Expostion Hall and we walked right in. We got a great pic of her and all of the dwarfs that morning togther and she still has it on her dresser.

Re: CRT and dresses?

Both times Pete and I went we saw the same characters (and this was 1 year apart, mind you) Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Belle, Mary Poppins, and the fairy godmother is in the lobby downstairs after breakfast. Even though Pete begs me to book this every time, I still can't get him in a princess dress...

Those are the exact same characters that we had last summer.

Re: CRT and dresses?

DD received so much attention from the princesses when she was dressed as Snow White. The refered to her as royalty and spoke to her like she was an equal. You should definately do it.

Re: CRT and dresses?

Thanks for posting this question. I have been debating on this. I have three girls and the two litles ones totally want to dress up for CRT. My 9 year old is unsure. She can easily pass for a teen at this point(almost 5') so I saw some cute tees with Cinderella on them that I am going to get her to wear with a jean skort. For the little ones Toys R Us has disney princess dress pretty reasonable and Disney Store on-line had a good deal on a dress up set too.
