Best character meals?
We are going on our first DW trip in Oct. We are staying at POR and have the dining plan. My DD will be 7 and our DS will be 8 by then. Of course DD wants princesses, our son is flexible but I'd def. would like to do Mickey or soemthing more for a boy. And I MUST see Pooh. Is 3 character meals too much in a week? Any thoughts and recommendations appreaciated.

Re: Best character meals?
I'd have to go with Chef Mickeys as the best we have ever been to.

Re: Best character meals?
I like Pooh at the Crystal Palace. I think 3 character meals would not be too much if that is a priority for you.

Re: Best character meals?
Crystal Palace is great. I was having just as much fun as the little kids, and the characters spent just as much time with me. :) I got some great pix with Pooh and Piglet and everyone. The only princess meal I've done was CRT when I was younger, but I still remember it. I'd love to go back! And Chef Mickey's - what can I say, it's just awesome. I'd say if you like to see the characters, 3 meals with them won't be too much. It'll just be 3 times as fun! :)

Re: Best character meals?
CRT has a new character lunch now as well as breakfast so that makes it easier to see the princesses; of course Chef Mickey's for Goofy and Mickey; and our all-time favorite - Crystal Palace for Pooh and Friends. Three character meals is a perfect number!

Chef Mickeys and Garden Grill are my favorites. I did CP once and was very disappointed in the food.

Re: Best character meals?
Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace (if your kids like Pooh, etc.) and Liberty Tree Tavern. You can be sure that even your kids will eat at those places and the character interaction is always really well done.

Re: Best character meals?
Remember, nothing is too much, if it is a priority for you. Everyone has different ways of enjoying WDW. From what you write, this might be a very good way to ease your son into the attractions. Let him get to feel comfortable with the characters, and then ease into the parks. Like most everyone else, I would recommend Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey and CRT. Another excellent character breakfast is 1900 Park Fare Lane at the Grand Floridian, with Mary Poppins and friends. It seems a little quieter and laid back than the others.

Re: Best character meals?
Three isn't to much, I'm going to do at least five the week I'm there, if I can get into CRT, which I 've been to before. The character interaction was excellant when I was there, the food was good, but nothing special.
My choices for when I go are : CRT - Breakfast or Lunch (Lunch if I can since I've already had breakfast there.) Crystal Palace - Any meal, what do you guys suggest? Liberty Tree Tavern - Does anyone know if Meeko still appears there? 1900 Park Fare - Definatly for breakfast, maybe for dinner to if I can't get in to CRT, and maybe even if I do. Akershus - Any meal, (though I'm waiting to decide on this one after I read reviews.) And if they have a heroes or villians meal by Oct, I'll have to do those to. And maybe now Chef Mickey's for Breakfast since everyone is recommending it.
