hoop dee doo or another dinner show??? HELP

OK here is my question. My DH and I are celebrating our 1 year wedding anniversary in November during our trip to WDW. I would like to know if you all would sugggest the Hoop Dee Doo review or another dinner show?

Any when can i book these shows if my trip is at the beginning of November 2005?

I want to surprise my husband with this (since i am doing all the planning!)

ive never been to hoop dee dee--- DBF and I booked it in June and we are really excited about and ive heard great reviews from everyone on here--
but im getting the vibe it's not the most "romantic" atmosphere...if your looking for romance you should try Rose and Crown, Jinko, California Grill, Le Cellier etc. etc...but if you want to have fun then it would be a great show!
BTW i think you can book Hoop Dee Doo up to two years in advance so im sure you can go ahead and book it--but you have to pay for it when you make your ressies..

HDDR is the only dinner show I have done, but I loved it!! Not romantic at all, but lots of fun!

Book the Hoop Dee Doo, it's great!! We went last summer and now I want to go back every trip. We laughed the entire show and the food was great. I don't like strawberry shortcake much but what we got there was awesome!

My DH and myself are real goofballs so we are not much into the whole romantic dinner. I want to be able to laugh. We are such kids at heart (30ish yr old kids at that!!)
I know i went to Hoop Dee Doo when i was 11 yrs old but i dont remember too much about it. So you all think that would be more fun the a hawiian dinner show?
And does anyone know if you do make the reservations how far in advanced do you have to cancel if you have to cancel them so you will not be charged?

You have to cancel at least 48 hours before the show or you will not got your payment back.

disneymaverick, if you are your husband are "goofballs" then the HDDR is perfect for you!

I would pick that for myself & my husband (we are goofballs as well) any day over the Luau. I think it fits our personalities better.

We have done Hoop dee doo and loved it. It was when our oldest was only 6 months old and one of the performers came upstairs and sang to her. It is one of our fondest memories of the numerous times we have visited WDW. It isn't a romantic spot if that is what you are looking for but the atmosphere and food is excellent. The Luau would be a much better romantic dinner show I agree VAL32. Our kids are after us to do Mickey's Backyard BBQ again which I think is the best suited for kids but we are doing 2 PS restaurants we haven't ate at before for this trip.

Definately book Hoop-de-doo. It's tons of fun. You and your DH are going to love it. That is able to be booked 2 years in advance by calling WDW DINE. Have a credit card handy because you now have to pay in full for dinner shows.

We love HDDR and do it every trip. You will have a ball. Book now, because seats are assigned as you book and the earlier you book the best seat you get!

Hoop dee doo is great! Make sure you let them know it is your anniversary! They will announce it.

You can book now, they say seats are assigned when you book but we had a table up against the stage and we booked 2 weeks before!! Our resort said tables are not assigned until the day of the performance! Not sure who to believe?!?!?

But I felt like all the tables were great!!! It is just such a fun performance! I do not know when I laughed so hard!!

It is a definite MUST DO for us from now on!!

The luau is a better show, and much more appropriate (IMHO) for an anniversary. You get to dance on stage if you want to.

Adults are $50.22, that includes tax and tip and you will be charged when you book your table. Make sure you cancel at least 48 hours out.
