dining, which one is it????

I've been looking for a price for a trip covering 13 nights with a 10 myw tickets and dining. I ask AAA and they gave me a price for a 10 day pkg and a 3 night room only reservation. I thought the dining was tied to the nights you stayed, not the tickets. Any comments?

It is. Not sure how they are booking you. If they are booking you under two seperate reservations, then that is the reason.

But why two reservations? I'll have to go back and question them.

I definetly would speak with them about this. I believe it may be due to the fact that there is a maximum length of MYW packages. Definetly speak very candidly with them about it. I assume you are staying at the same resort for all 13 nights, right?

Re: dining, which one is it????

yes, same place the whole time. I sent an email, guess I'll have to wait a day or two for an answer. The reason for the extra days are for rest and recovery. I wouldn't mind getting 10 days of dining IF I could spread it out over 14 days. But I was thinking last time, (although we had AP's then) the first day we only went to the parks for about 5 hours. I had rather start fresh the next day when using a day by day ticket plan. So we would like to have the chance to use the dining plan in the parks on our 12 or 13 day, not just the first 10.

HHMMMMM... I am not 100% sure about all of this. Have you considered using a different travel agent, or are you getting an AAA discount?

Re: dining, which one is it????

Jo-jo, we are staying a total of 11 nights and Mouseketrips booked us under two seperate reservations. They can only do 10 night reservation packages and the remaining nights have to be put on a seperate reservation. The MYW packages only go up to 10 days.

Re: dining, which one is it????

So what happens to people who have a 10 day pkg with the swim park options, who need 13 or 14 days to use up the ticket? Will they only have 10 days of dining also? What about people who stay a week, but only have a 5 day ticket, is it 5 days dining or 7?

Re: dining, which one is it????

We booked with mouseketrips and Keith was able to book 16 nights at WL for us under 1 reservation. They were only able to book a max of 10days but the system has been updated so you can now book for longer!

Wow they must have changed things. We booked our trip the beginning of Jan. when MYW started. Oh well, we'll deal with it when we get their. And, thankfully the second reservation is only for the last night.

Re: dining, which one is it????

Did you want to have dining? If you have a package that includes room, tickets and possibly dining, the longest length of stay is 10 nights. If you want to stay longer, it is best to do a room only stay after. The park passes you get with the package expire 14 days after first use, so you should be fine there. If you don't want the dining, just get a room only reservation, you can do that for about as long as you want (as long as you don't want to stay longer than 30 nights). If you do want the dining, go with how they suggested. One thing to note is that if you have the dining plan, the meals expire the night you check out, so you can't spread them out over the entire stay.

Let me know if you have any questions, I would be glad to help.
