Disney Dining Experience and Meal Plus??

Does anyone know if you can combine the DDE with the meal plus program at AK? The meal plus program is a good deal inwhich you get a lunch plus drink along with coupons for use later to get a bottle of soad or water and another for a ice cream or popcorn. I think it is $12 for an adult. I know that you can use the DDE at AK restaurants to get 20% off. Has anyone tried to use the DDE to purchase the meal plus tickets. That would really be a bargain!!!

That would be a good deal. I doubt it can happen, though! You never know. Can you call and ask?

I doubt it as well because you buy the vouchers at a single price and can use them anywhere in AKL. But it does bear some investigation.

I heard somewhere that you could do both. DDE is placed in one account that can be used through out your stay. AK meal vouchers can be purchased at the park that day to be used. I can't see why you can't use them for you visit to AK, then use your DDE for all your other days. The best thing to do when it doubt is to call

mickeymotto - I don't think skwak is talking about the new meal plan. I think skwak is talking about the 20 percent off card thingie that APer's can get?

That's what I thought you meant, anyway...in which case, I'm not sure they'll let you take 20 percent off (But, it would be a great deal if they did - why don't you call directly to the Tusker House, or something, and just ask?)

If you meant the new dining plan, then surely you'd be able to use your plan however you see fit.

Since we are going in now 11 days (I just have to add that to every post,

), I am just going to try it. The one thing that I have learned from calling WDW is that you can get just about 100 different answers to the same question.

I might have skipped, but DDE is now available to AP holders and Florida residents as well. As I've postulated previously, I believe that DDE with your AP, or even MYW passes is a better value than booking a 6 day "gold" vacation, unless you can really maximize all your extra activities. It can be done, but you'll be so full and so tired, you'll need a vacatiuon from your vacation. I'll know for sure once we come back after our trip in October.
