Help with new dining plan
We are going to disney for the second time ever. We decided to stay on property this time and are getting the dining plan. My dd is 4 (she'll be 5 when we go) and ds is 1 (almost 2 when we go) Both kids are big eaters. Will this be enough for them? Was also wondering how it works out when you pay for the kids meal and save them up for signature services? Also where does everyone eat breakfast? Since there is no breakfast included?THanks in advance.

Re: Help with new dining plan
Your one year old will not have any meal credits as you do not pay for children under 3. Any food for your son will be out of pocket unless you are dining at a buffet.
You can use your meal credits, either counter-service or table-service for any meal - breakfast, lunch, or dinner. |

Re: Help with new dining plan
We always do breakfast in the room unless we are going to a Character Breakfast. We will buy a gallon of milk and a gallon of OJ, 2 -3 boxes of cereal bars, fruit and the 10 pack of small variety cereal boxes. Got to save where you can.
Disney portions are huge. You will have plenty left on your plate for your youngest. I am a big eater and I could have easily given part of my meal to a two year old.

Re: Help with new dining plan
Cool Thanks for your help. I know that the children have to order from the kid's menu, but do the children get dessert also?

Re: Help with new dining plan
We used the dining plan this past March.
Yes, there are kids desserts at the sit-down restaurants (the ones we went to, anyway). Our daughter (5 at the time) got dessert everywhere we went! At table service places, she got the regular, adult desserts with no problems. They also had kids appetizers on the kid's menu at Rose & Crown and Sci-Fi. Very cute. They were like carrot sticks with ranch, fruit, etc. She really liked getting her own appetizer!

Re: Help with new dining plan
We gave up on trying to figure this meal plan stuff out and opted to just do as we please...our family loves Disney Dining and we do a breakfast/dinner or lunch/dinner every single day...the eating is as important to us when we go as seeing the parks!!!

Re: Help with new dining plan
Does anyone who has already tried the dining plan remember if they allow free refills on soda? I have some real soda addicts in my family, and they are concerned.

Re: Help with new dining plan
I tried the Disney Dining in March. My DD is 10, she was 9 when we booked our trip so they gave her childen's passes (lucky for me price-wise). She is a very big eater and sometime the children's menu doesn't do it for her. A few times she actually got adult meals at the counter service. It still rang up the same way. I am not saying to get childrens meals for adults... I don't want to cheat Disney, but I wanted to make sure my daughter was fed also.
