Chef Mickey's

Be honest. How weird is it for 2 adults - with no kids - to do Chef Mickey's for breakfast? Odd at all?

I really want to do CM, never have before - OK, really I just want the little Mickey waffles - but I don't want parents looking at us weird because we're without kids. Don't want them to think we're pedophiles or something.

Do you normally see kid-less people there? Like I said, I've never been there before, so I'm not sure. It's fine, right? Just curious.

Re: Chef Mickey's

DBF and I have done it twice! Dont worry..it's not 'weird'..i was afraid of that at first too..and it can get a little akward if your not 'crazy' about seeing the characters..but we like it..and we'll do it again...but i must admit..we were probaly the only single early twenties couple there..

I don't think anyone would look twice at you. Most of us are probably saying to ourselves that we should have done it BEFORE we had kids too!

Re: Chef Mickey's

GO FOR IT!!! we just ate at Cm on June first for the first time. we had our dd and bf and bf dh and their 2 ds's. we all loved it! my dh is deaf ans doesn't usually participate in musical things, he feels it's dumb, but when the mickey celebration started he was twirling his towel with the best of them. he got more photos with the characters than my dd did. be sure to wear a cute outfit for the photos. we didn't know about those. do it and you'llnever regret it, the food was great too!!

As long as you don't mind being around all the kids, go for it. We have eaten there w/o kids, and enjoyed it.

Re: Chef Mickey's

Go, just go, any Character meal is great, without kids. I remember for my dw b-day we were at 1900 park fare for a cb and she got to chat with Mary poppins for a good long time!
Cm is very fun, the characters are great, actually we are planning to go for the cb next time (we went for dinner). Now I have my son I have an excuse I suppose to do character meals. Still I've been doing them since I was on my cp days with other cm's , no kids. So no worries, its still fun and we're all kids at heart!

I say go for it too. I have only been with the kids, but that's because I never got to go to WDW before I had kids. I wouldn't think twice about seeing people there without kids. The breakfast buffet is great too.

Re: Chef Mickey's

Actually my DW, then DGF, and I went to Chef Mickey's for diner when it was located in DTD. I have to admit it was a little wierd at first, where I almost forgot to take pictures. Mickey had to gesture to the camera sitting on ther table, where I said something like Oh, Oh, OK, yes I'll take a picture. You are never too old.

Re: Chef Mickey's

GO FOR IT!

We went to Disney for the first time last year and we too were afraid how people would look at us, but we had a great time. We did Chef Mickey's, CRT, Princess Storybook Breakfast, Cape May, and the Crystal Palace.

This year we are adding Donalds Breakfastosaurus, the Liberty Tree Tavern and maybe 1900 Park Fare.

The characters spent just as much time with us as they did the guests with children. Also the guests with children kept them at their own table and waited for the chatacters to get to them. It was well worth it!
