Best Chicken at WDW

Ok, I'm reading all the menus, and I'm drooling over all the steak and prime rib and seafood, and then it hits me. My DH is going to be completely unimpressed with all my restaurant picks, because he is a chicken guy. Chicken, chicken and more chicken. So, where do you think you have had the best CHICKEN meal at WDW? Parks, resorts, DTD, anywhere.

Re: Best Chicken at WDW

Your DH sounds like my DD...no red meat only chicken. Her favorite chicken at WDW was found at O'hanna....she like the wings and the ones served on skewers. You should take DH there. The meal is fabulous.

Re: Best Chicken at WDW

I am a chicken too. LOL!!!

I can't think of one restaurant that stands out, but I usually order a grilled chicken sandwhich at every meal. I know....boring!!! But I agree with Dana. Ohana has the best chicken wings and skewered chicken chunks.

Oh yeah, not exactly chicken, but the turkey legs at MK are great.

EDIT!!! I just remembered that Trail's End Buffet at Fort Wilderness has the BEST fried chicken!!!! It is worth the trip over there if you want a great homestyle meal. I think it's the same food they serve at Hoop Dee Do too.

Re: Best Chicken at WDW

Rainforest Cafe at DTD or AK has some pretty good chicken dishes. Also, pretty much any buffet you go to is going to have some variety of chicken dishes.

Yes, the chicken in the skillet at the Whispering Canyon is delicious!! You can both get that...you eat all the red meat and they'll bring more of whatever you want!

I think there is a KFC just off property if you are looking to eliminate any risk.

Re: Best Chicken at WDW

Rotisseri chicken at the tusker house in AK is awesome!

Also, if you hubby likes the "other white meat" (pork) there is a great shredded pork BBQ sandwich at Cosmic Rays.

The fried chicken at 50's prime time is yummy, too!

And the turkey sandwich at the Backlot express is excellent!

Re: Best Chicken at WDW

There's also an interesting chicken dish at San Angel Inn in Mexico -- Chicken de las reyes (or something like that) -- that has a cheesy sauce. I'm a very picky eater and NOT a big fan of Mexican food, but I liked this. Also, Rose and Crown does a lovely roast chicken.

Re: Best Chicken at WDW

50's Prime Time Cafe at MGM has great fried chicken, served with mashed potatoes and green beans. Pure comfort food. (And I agree, the chicken at Tusker House is yummy - and healthy.)
