Re: Food and wine festival question

Park hopper-I would be in heaven if I got to go to the party of the senses! But I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to fit everything in that I want to do!

Re: Food and wine festival question

I was at WDW during the F&W festival last year. I must say that I was a little disappointed. The food at the booths was very expensive for the very small portions (think the price of a WDW hamburger for one or two bites of food from the booths). While they did seem to have a great variety of foods from around the world, the cost was a big deterrant to me.

Yes,jodilt,my sentiments exactly!! I loved the concerts and the free cooking demonstrations, but IMHO the booths are waaaaaaaaaaaaay overpriced and the portions are sooooooooooooo tiny!!!!

You'll absolutely love Chubby Checker. He's a regular every year at F&W and his show is always one of the best. Unlike a lot of the performers, he interacts a great deal with the audience, including his show finale when he gets a ton of children and parents up on stage doing the Twist with him. Great stuff!

Re: Food and wine festival question

I was trying to get that point across earlier, $5 for 2 bites of food is just not worth it.
It just made me more hungry, which made me spend more money!

Re: Food and wine festival question

So I guess it's more like have a snack or 2, enjoy the wine tastings and demonstrations, then go to a restruant for dinner! That will work!

I saw Chubby Checker two years ago with JOANNE and Joseph(don't remember the numbers after his name!!) from DC,and Joe went up on stage to dance!!! He was very good(as was Mr. Checker). I will definitely go to see him if he falls during the week.

Re: Food and wine festival question

Chubby Checker was great I saw him when visiting with JoAnn and Joe too... It was a great show... When they first started the F&W festival... they did give you more food... me and my DH could share the sample they gave and it was only 3.00 but the prices have changed to between 2 and 5 dollars and the portions have gotten rather small... so I would only try something that I had never had before and would love to try or I would go to a resturant to eat... but we love going to this and trying some of the freebees... like the concerts and the seminars ..... of course we almost always love anything Disney...LOL.....

Re: Food and wine festival question

I'm hoping to go this year as well. Went a few years ago and really enjoyed it. My husband is a chef and he gets a kick out of watching all the different chefs in their element. I would plan at least 2 days and plenty of $$. It's amazing how many samples at 2-4 bucks each you can down in one day!
Have fun!
