Should I try Rose & Crown again?

I'm thinking of giving Rose & Crown another shot if I can get a PS around Illuninations time. We had a horrible waitress last time and also ordered poorly so I might try it again. What do you think?

Anyways..I love Rose and Crown..love it love it love it...I am sorry you had a bad time with a waitress! All the waitresses I have come across there are lovely!!! Did you like the food and the view? That's why I keep going back honestly...the waitresses being great was always just a tiny portion of that

Re: Should I try Rose & Crown again?

Cinderbella....what is your favorite there? We ate there for Christmas Dinner one year and thought the food was just so so. Of course, the wait for very long even with PS but then, it WAS Christmas Day!! I would love to try it again too!

Re: Should I try Rose & Crown again?

I think every restaurant - unless it's horrendous - deserves a second chance. I know I feel that way about the Brown Derby. I think I ordered the wrong thing, so I'd like to give it another try. So, I say, go for it. If you don't enjoy it this time, then don't go back.

Re: Should I try Rose & Crown again?

I also had the steak and prawns but I didn't like the horseradish sauce. I should have ordered it on the side! We wound up missing illuminations because our waitress forgot to bring us to the viewing spot and when I asked her to, there was no more room! We weren't lucky enough for a prime seat that time, but maybe next time.

We're eating there in a few days and have it timed for Illuminations. I hope we have good luck and I'll order the HR sauce on the side!

Try it again. Everyone deserves a second chance. We didn't enjoy our meal there either(wrong choices,) but the service was excellent and we definitely will try it again.

Re: Should I try Rose & Crown again?

everyone deserves a second chance. I agree with LLama. Go again but remember to keep an open mind. If you go there thinking even a little negativity towards the place..chances are you will come away having another bad experience. But keep an open mind and 'order wisely' then I am sure you will have a ball!

Re: Should I try Rose & Crown again?

I really liked their fish and chips. And I'm a New Englander, so I'm used to good seafood. Also, the cheese and fruit appetizer was yummy, as well as the mushroom filled pastry appetizer.
DH always gets red meat and he's now hooked on the Shandy!
