It's our dd's b-day so naturally she wants the princesses and our son wants to do obviuously soemthing else, any suggesstions and would you recommend dinner or breakfast. We are going Oct. 15th so how early should we call for reservations. And lastly, any eating/restaurant suggesstions would be great. thanks so much.

Re: character meals

We are going in 11 days and we have been told that Chef Mickey's is just the best for a char. breakfast. Also, if you are on the dining plan and don't care about cost you should try LeCellier in Epcot. Also, the kids would probably love Sci-Fi at MGM. Hope this helps get you started with your plans.

are you driving or taking shuttle, having a car is a big part of deciding what character meal to do. If you need to take buses, you want to go somewhere on the monorail because they would be easy to get to. The one at Grand Floridian, has mary poppins and friends, along with other characters. I have three boys and one girl. they all loved it. I like Chef MIckeys also, because you get see Mickey mouse. do you have the dining guide. that tells you what characters are at which breakfast, I dont know them off hand, but I am sure you can find a list.

Yup, at the MK it is City Hall
at Epcot, AK and MGM it is Guest services.

Re: character meals

Me and my DD lovethe character meals. Here are some of our favorites. You should call 90 days before you intend to eat at each restaurant.

Breakfasts:
O'hanna's at the Polynesian (goofy, mickey, chip and dale)
Chef mickey's at the Contemporary(mickey, minnie, chip, dale, goofy and sometimes donald)
Breakfastsaurus at the AK park (goofy, donald, chip, dale and mickey)
Crystal Palace at the MK park( pooh, eeyore, tigger and piglet)
Cinderella's royal table at the mk park ( cinderella and princess assortment)
Dinner:
Chef mickey's (same characters)
Crystal PAlace (same characters as breakfast)
1900 Park Fare at the GF resort( cinderella and friends)
Liberty Tree Tavern at the MK (mickey, minnie, goofy, chip and dale)i think

Family dinners that are fun for the kids, but dont have characters:
Whispering Canyon at the wilderness lodge
O'hanna at the Polynesian
50's prine time cafe at MGM
Hoop De Doo review at Fort Wilderness (you can book that now)great dinner show!
Mickey's Back yard BBQ at Fort wilderness (has characters and is a dinner show) you can also book that now.

Other great places :
Lecellier at Epcot
Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge resort
Momma Melrose's at MGM
Hollywood and Vine at MGM
Rose and Crown at Epcot

Hope this helps.

Happy to do it. By the by, all the parks, except for maybe still the movie studio, have their own button. So get one every day of your trip!

Re: character meals

We went to Crystal Palace for my step daughter's 8th birthday breakfast. The Winnie the Pooh characters were great and gave her a cupcake and a card with all their signatures on it and really made a fuss over her.
I think having a cupcake for breakfast was the highlight of her trip!

Re: character meals

We love Chef Mickey's, it's a lot of fun for the whole family. We have been for both breakfast and dinner and both meals were great but we like breakfast the best. No matter what you decide you need to call and make your PS 90 days out.
