no openings at la Cellier for first week of oct.

I just tried to make some ADR's for my son and brother's trip- oct 2 to oct 8- so ok, I'm at the 70 something day mark, but nothing was open from monday to friday. Anybody have any tips on what to do? Should I try calling again? How often? Has this happened to anyone else?

Call back every couple of days and see. With the free dining going on, it is popular. Reminds me, I need to get cracking on my dining reservations.

Jo-jo, that's weird since the crowd during those days is always low...

That has never happened to me, if I was you I will keep calling periodically.

Best wishes,
Alfredo

I just call disney again and after the CM told me how great La Cellier is, she seems surprised that it was booked solid for dinner. I ask to check for lunch, there were two openings. I took them, but I am hoping to snag a dinner ADR, so I'll keep trying.

Jo-jo, how many people were you trying to seat? I called to get ARs for September 28 or 29th, and they were full for dinner, but we had 2 people, and they only have a couple of tables that seat 2. If you have 2, call back and tell them you have 3, and make the reservation. You can call back later and take the 3rd person off.

Re: no openings at la Cellier for first week of oct.

So there is a method to the madness in reference to the free dining . . .
People may have been more likely to take their dollars someplace else perhaps off-site for dinner but now with the dining plan Disney has locked on the business.

Now the restaurants become higher demand since people are less likely to order pizza to their rooms now. I still don't see how they make their money but I got my dinding package for June 2006 so I am fine!

Booked up restaurants could become the new norm . . . ugh

mickey's right. I got a last minute PS at chef mickey's using this technique. Anytime you have a tough time getting a table for two, always try booking a table for 3. The third person just won't be there when you get there for the meal...opps./

It's for two, but what's the reasoning for saying three? Do they figure they could seat three at the same table at two but make more money?

I've heard people say they have 6 because they don't want their party of 5 squeezed into a table for 4.

They only have so many two seater tables and many more that fit 3+. Once the two seater tables are booked, they say they don't have an available table for two, but in fact have tables for 3+. Try calling back for a PS for three and you will see what I am saying.

I just called disney again and got a dinner at le cellier for 7:40. I would be more excited but I won't even be there, I have to wait till dec. When I asked about checking, the CM said it there only two? And jokingly (thinking of Dana) I said "would it help if I dragged in some strangers?" The CM chuckled. There was even a choice of 4:30 or 7:40. So here's the line up for their week. They get there oct 2 mid-day and are leaving oct 8 morning

sunday 0ct 2 Hollywood and Vine 5:50
monday Oct3 Le cellier 7:40
tuesday Oct 4 open- they can use counter meals
wednesday Oct5 Liberty tree 1:00 whispering canyon 6:40
thursday Oct 6 Le cellier 1:50
friday Oct 7 concourse steak 6:00
saturday oct 8 counter meal If any are left

I think knowing my son, even though people say there is a ton of food, he may still end up buying a few hamburgers to fill in the gaps.

any thoughts?? Remember steak and prime rib or hotdogs and chicken nuggets make them happy. Of all these places I've only eaten at LTT and that was about 15 yrs ago, so I'm only working on what I've seen on menus and TRs.

Jo-jo... you've made some great choices!

You may want to try the turkey legs at MGM and MK. It is a great deal! Lot's of meat for $5!

Ciao,
Alfredo
