New policy for booking ADRs

THIS IS JUST A RUMOR at this point but it looks like starting Monday there will be a major change in how ADRs are booked.

I have heard that starting July 18th you will be able to book up to 10 days worth of ADRs 90 days out. You will have to enter your resort reservation number and you can book your ADRs for the rest of your trip, up to 10 days. If you cancel your room reservation your ADRs will also be dropped. If you have a split stay you will still be able to book all your ADRs at 90 days out, you will just have to have both reservation numbers when you call.

This sounds good for people who book longer trips and stay in Disney resorts. This looks like another perk for onsite guests since Disney won't know when offsite guests arrive.

I hope the details come out in the next few days, some of you are getting close to your 90 window.

Call me crazy but I like calling WDW each morning to make ADRs. If I don't get what I want one day I know there is always tomorrow.

Re: New policy for booking ADRs

Yes, but I have heard that the 100 day booking is really the 10th day of your trip. Rumor has it you will still call at 90 days from the first day of your trip.

Re: New policy for booking ADRs

I have heard the same rumors. I personally am hoping that they just bump the window up to 100 days from the 90 days that we all use now. However, any perks that they want to give those of us that stay onsite are ok with me. Maggie

Re: New policy for booking ADRs

I agree teacher!
I love calling every morning and booking my ADR's. It got me all reared up in the moring having something so awesome to look forward too. And, I've come to realize that some CM's are way better than others with giving you tid-bits of info and some really great tips, so I enjoy speaking to a different CM each time I call. But, I'm sure this will mean that I'd have to start doing it all at once, like everyone else, so we can get in where we want.

Re: New policy for booking ADRs

So your saying starting at 90 days you can start booking up to 10 days of ADRs and that makes 100 days out.

Re: New policy for booking ADRs

I saw the thread, Princess. I'm going the third week of October, so the free dining plan will be over by that point. I'm hoping that means there'll be availability!

Edit: I just spoke to a dining CM (to book that Le Cellier lunch!) and he confirmed the "rumor." We will indeed be able to book 10 days worth of dining at the 90-day mark!

Re: New policy for booking ADRs

I just called WDW and the CM I spoke with said that starting Monday, when you hit your 90 day window you may call and make ressies for your length of stay up to 10 days. She did tell me that this only goes for dining not specialty cruises or things like the pirate cruise for kids. I don't know if she is right or not, I got one CM who said she hadn't heard about any changes and one who seemed to know but didn't want to tell me anything.

Re: New policy for booking ADRs

Wow!!! That would be really cool... Honestly I found it a pain calling everyday to make 1 reservation... especially since I was paying so much money to Disney(Tickets, Room, Food.... etc.)

Re: New policy for booking ADRs

Thanks for the info DisneyTeacher. I hadn't heard this yet. It is a good idea. But I, like you, love to make those phone calls. Part of the pre-trip excitement.

Re: New policy for booking ADRs

This news is great, It will only take me 2 overseas phone calls to book my ADR's instead of the 20 I was planning on making! (3 week trip!)
