Kona Cafe or Whispering Canyon
Hi all,
We are trying to decide what restaurant to eat dinner at on our Magic Kingdom day. We have it narrowed down to either Kona Cafe or Whispering Canyon Cafe since they are both at MK area resorts. We ate dinner at Kona in 2002 but have only had breakfast at Whispering Canyon. I am curious which restaurant everyone here would choose between these two. Thanks! K

I have never been to Kona but we have been to WCC twice for dinner and it's just so-so. It's fun and we were staying at WL both times so it was an easy walk up restaurant for us but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there. Keep in mind I don't eat ribs and BBQ is just okay to me.

The all you can eat thing at WC is just so so but the entrees are very good. I like their breakfast much more. Go for Kona if you haven't been there in awhile. I think it may be a tiny bit fast to commute to.

Kona Cafe would be easier to get to...WCC would be a bit more of commitment, both in the travel time and the time it'll take you to eat there.
I think it depends on whether you want a big all-you-can-eat dining experience, or an easy meal.

Kona is very good, but I hear WC is an experience.

I think that WC goes great with a day at the MK. And since you've never had dinner there, it's a great choice.

Thanks for all the input, everyone. I was leaning towards Kona but now I am not so sure. I will think about it a few more days and then decide.

Never eaten at Kona but experienced WC for the first time last year. We had a lot of fun. Ordered entrees instead of family style and the meals were very good.
