Help! Need info on PS process
Hi there,
When I found out about the stay, play, and dine package, I called WDW to see if I could get the dining added to my package starting on the 21st, and they added it for us at no charge. Yay! (We arrive on Aug 19th, so we weren't able to include it in those 2 days, but oh well, it's still awesome) I've never made PS arrangements before, and seeing as I am less than 2 weeks away from my trip, I was wondering if it is pointless for me to do so? It's only adults (well, very child-like adults :-))going, so we aren't looking to go to any character meals or anything for right now. But I don't want to be stuck not getting into anywhere either. Should I try to make PS's? If I don't, will I still be able to get a seat at most places at dinnertime? ANy opinions or advice would be much appreciated :-)

Re: Help! Need info on PS process
Welcome MickeyMcFizzle!!
YES MAKE PS'S NOW! If you don't you may have a long wait just to get a table (if they are taking anyone at all). When we eat at LeCellier (Canada - The Best food by the way) and CRT (Great food too) we got right in with our PS's and I heard them tell other guest that they were all booked up and not taking anyone else. They did have tables available for a week out or for 9pm. You still have time to get into the places you want (hopefully). If you are not sure where you want to eat just ask. I think all of us here at DC have an opinion on the subject. Good luck! Eating is one of the best parts of the vacation if you are on the dining plan. Most of our adult meals cost $8 appetizer, $26-28 meal, $8-14 dessert and then you are allowed 2 drinks (no alchol). We were even offered the special surf and turf at LeCellier of Fillet and Lobster for (I think) $36.00. I just loved their food!!!!!

Re: Help! Need info on PS process
Welcome to DC!
If it were me I would make one PS per day. We just got back and I can't tell you how many times I heard guests complaining at restautrants because they couldn't get in or the wait was 2 hours or more. Every single meal we heard this with the exception of Chef Mickey's and Cape May (in the morning). If you have a rough idea of where you might be each day make a few PS to go with that or you might find that the only time you can get a sit down meal is 9 pm. PSs (ADRs) don't lock you in, very few require a deposit so if you miss it you are not out anything. You are going after a lot of schools start back but you won't know how crowded things are going to be until you get there.

Thank you both for the warm welcome and quick response!
I am going to call and make the PS's as soon as I get home from work. Thanks again!

Re: Help! Need info on PS process
Good idea. Good luck. It is always nice knowing you will have a place to eat, sit down, relax and cool off (bonus that the food is so good in some places). Oh, you might want to call in a few days and confirm them again. Mistakes do happen and it is best to find out before you are standing there wanting your table.

Re: Help! Need info on PS process
Epcot: LeCellier - great steaks and desserts! Top rated!
MK: CRT - Appetizers are so-so but the port tenderloin was really good and the slipper dessert was wonderful! Ohana's - good food. You will get shrimp, beef, pork, chicken and turkey (lots of meats). Chef Mickeys - I know it is a character breakfast but it still has good food and is fun. MGM- Sci-Fi has a good atmosphere but the food is just so-so.

Re: Help! Need info on PS process
We ate at the Sci-Fi twice on our first trip, and did the Luau. We loved the food at both. We have added Hollowood & Vine to our list for this year and, Welcome To DC, You'll Love It Here!
