Dining Plan Question re: Daily Use

Hi everyone,

I am using the Disney dining plan on my upcoming trip, and just had a question that came to mind:

I know you are given a counter service, snack, and table service for each night of your stay. But do you have to use each of these each day? Or can you use, for example, 2 counter services one day, and two table services the next?

Any help would be greatly appreciated :-)

Re: Dining Plan Question re: Daily Use

I see that you are going shortly. Any chance there is a little spot for me in your suitcase? I would bake you some scrumptious cookies for the trip and I would help you with the deciphering of your meal plan.

And....welcome to DC.

But of course...if I leave all my many pairs of shoes at home, there will be entire half a suitcase for you! (Don't know why I insist upon bringing so many shoes on every vacation I go on) :-)

Re: Dining Plan Question re: Daily Use

I have looked into the dining plan details and it really does sound to good to be true (Baring in mind my family are from over the pond and with the current exchange rates)

It appears that you do indeed get one table service meal, one counter meal and a snack for every night of your stay that can be used in any order you like. For example you can have 3 table services in one day if you wish, they will just be taken off your vacation allowance which is always totalled and confirmed at the bottom of every receipt issued.

Marvelous stuff and impossible to resist baring in mind it can be used at Ohana's, Chef Mickeys, Crystal Palace & CRT (Not Breakfast)

Re: Dining Plan Question re: Daily Use

Lumiere,

We are doing the dining plan for our 3 week christmas trip.

We were originally going to use AP's and get the room discounts, hoping the exchange rate would go back in our favour, but we have now gone for the dining plan instead as it works out better for us.

As we had booked our flight tickets sometime ago, we booked the rooms, tickets and dining plan on the UK disney website.

That's interesting, I will have a look at that. We normaly book through Virgin online for the extra 10% but I don't think they offer the Dinner Pacakages so will need to source that elswhere.

Re: Dining Plan Question re: Daily Use

I booked my trip through Disney online directly back in January for my upcoming trip the last week in September, yes I do have 38 days til lift off. I just recently called them to add the free dining plan, which is awesome. I made dinner reservations last week at placed I couldn't budget before, places like Ohana, and Concourse Steakhouse. THANKS DISNEY!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Dining Plan Question re: Daily Use

Hmmmmmmmm...............there appears to be a lot of confusion with regards to the Dining Plan.

It does read that breakfast is omitted from the standard Dining Plan but is included in the 'Disney’s Magic Your Way Premium Package' ? This also comes bundled with recreational activities and Cirque du Soleil shows ??? Something my family would never utilise.

So ultimately, if there is no breakfast allowed then it's certainly not the one for us

Can someone please clarify this

It is my understanding that when you buy the plan, you're not purchasing lunch, dinner, and a snack; instead, you're purchasing a counter service meal, a table service meal, and a snack for each day. You can use these however you'd like. Your counter service could be at breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the same with your table service.

For example, say you're a huge fan and you want to eat breakfast and dinner at 'Ohana one day. Both meals are table service, so as long as you've got two table service credits in your plan, you could do this.

When you spend your credits isn't an issue, only where- Table service or counter service.

Hope that helps.

Hi Andrea,

This is exactly as I thought but this is contradicted @ AllEars where it says that only the 'Magic Your Way Premium Package' includes the 'Disney Dining Plan -- breakfast, lunch and dinner per person per package night, at your choice of over 100 restaurants

The standard 'Magic Your Way Package PLUS Dining' appears to just include the normal table service, counter service & snack. No mention of Breakfast at all, or do we take it for granted that it does include it ????????????

Confused
