Advice needed please!
I'm sure this is a well-covered area but I'm brand new to this site. We are heading to WDW in 3 weeks and have to make a decision on which PS to cancel--we have one too many for our dining plan. Here is what we have:
Le Cellier Sci Fi Crystal Palace Chef Mickey's Ohana Hoop Dee Doo Breakfastasaurus Princess Storybook (for dinner they're offering now) What would you eliminate of those choices? Thanks for your help!! |

Re: Advice needed please!
A quick question -- is Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace for breakfast? Because it strikes me that you are hitting a lot of character meals (not that this is bad!). If you are doing more than one breakfast, I would eliminate one. They are fun, but would be overhwelming several days in a row (also at least I hate rushing to make early morning reservations every day with my kids).
Good luck!

Re: Advice needed please!
Great choices. If I had to cut one
it would probably be Sci-fi. But you could keep them all and decide once you are there. The only one you would be penalized on would be Hoop Dee Doo, which I would never cancel anyway!!

Re: Advice needed please!
I'd cut Sci-Fi.
Though I've heard the food at Princess Storybook is pretty bad.

Re: Advice needed please!
I'd cut Sci-Fi. It wasn't as fun as I thought it would be and the food wasn't that good, IMHO.

Re: Advice needed please!
I'm with the majority. Sci-Fi or Princess Storybook. I'm pretty adventurous when it comes to food, but the food at Akershus was pretty bad. Unless you like herring....LOTS of herring....or reindeer....
Personally I don't enjoy eating Rudolph.

Put me down for another Sci-Fi. Cute theme but the food is lacking.

Re: Advice needed please!
Okay, I admit, I like Sci-Fi because the "theme-ing" is great and it is the one MGM restaurant on your list. But I have to agree that the food is good, not great.

Re: Advice needed please!
Storybook Dinner...dinner at Akershush (sp?) was disastrous for some friends of ours. You really need to study that menu and determine if it is for you and your family. The storybook breakfast there was very good ("normal" breakfast food.)

Re: Advice needed please!
We liked Sci-Fi, but ... food is so-so, well themed though. I think the best advice was "Check the menus" We thought the Character Breakfast at The Crystal Palace was fun. Never give up the Hoop Dee Doo Revue!!! Most of all, no matter where you eat, enjoy it!!!!!! I know I will, hehehehe it's food after all......

Re: Advice needed please!
What a tough call.
I wouldn't cut SciFi if you have kids with you. Mine always loved the place, it's very unique. Guess I would cut one of the character meals based on which characters my kids were really into. Goor Luck!

Re: Advice needed please!
What are the ages of your kids? I know my son at 4 wanted the Sci-Fi more than any. He loved it. The food was just ok but we will go there again for him.

Re: Advice needed please!
Welcome to DC. As do others, I would cut out Sci-Fi or the Princess dinner. Chef Mickey's (dinner), Crystal (Breakfast), O'Hana's (dinner) and Breakfastosaurus are a must for our family. Keep them in the mix! Did the Hoop Dee Doo when I was a kid and have very fond memories of it. My DH won't do it, so we haven't taken our DS yet. Eventually he will have to cave in!
Good luck choosing!!!
