Question about dining plan?
We are arriving this coming sunday at disney around 2m. We have the free dining plan that is included this time of the year. Does your dining plan start the first night you are there? I hope so as I made ressies at Ohana's for dinner the same night- sunday.

Re: Question about dining plan?
they will give you your "dining debits" as soon as you check-in. you get as many as the nights you have booked. For example, if you have 6 nights booked, you get 6 table services, 6 quick service, and 6 snacks per person. You can use them immediately after you get the "key to the world" card. We used ours within an hour of check-in. The receipts you get will also give you your "debit balance," those receipts were really useful for us to keep track.
Have fun!

If you leave in what is now 9 days and I leave is what is now 10 days, it seems we would be there during that limited time too. Any-who, it would have been great because I have a verrrrry picky eater (DH) and I hate to go to any resturant and pay for something he most likely will not eat, at least I would have been able to try new things without feeling guilty about spending money. Oh, well?!?!? ![]()

How ? When ? Why? Who ? Uh ? Anybody familiar with how periodic this offer arises and with which tour operators or is it just blanketed to all guests staying at a certain time ![]()

Re: Question about dining plan?
Instead of the room/package discounts of the past, Disney is trying to not discount hotel rooms, and instead, offer other incentives to travellers. The free dining offer was available from August 20 - October 4 (you have to check in during those dates). It was available once, for about 6 weeks, and then gone for 2 weeks, and then back active again for another 4 weeks. It expired on August 20, I think. It is too early to go and do actual research, so I am sure my dates are off a bit.
Most likely, this is they type of discount we will see in the future (near future). I am sure October will be passed by, most dates are sold out already. November and December still have a chance though, so cross your fingers. I will be there in exactly 5 days, 16 hours, 19 minutes and 32 seconds. Wait, 31, 30, hey!, it is getting closer!
