O.K I KNOW I SHOULDN'T COMPLAIN BECAUSE I'M LEAVING TOMORROW FOR WDW BUT I HAVE FREE DINING AND CAN'T FIND ANY TABLE SERVICE'S AVAIL! AND POP IS AT 100% FOR THE WEEKEND! WHAT HAPPEN TO THE LIGHT CROWDS, WALKING ON RIDE'S WITH NO WAITS AND FEELING LIKE YOU HAVE MAIN STREET ALL TO YOURSELF?!

I'm sorry the restaurants are booked, the free dining is a great thing. As for crowds, I don't know that I have heard that the parks are busier than usual. Try walking up to the restaurants, I am sure some people won't show up or have book extra ADRs. Have a great trip!!!

I would have to say free dining happened.

Just keep checking at the restaurants for anything available that day. Cancellations happen all the time.

I guess that the free dining thing really got lots more people to WDW during off season. You still might be able to walk up and get seated, or call from your room when you get there because they might have some cancelations. I was still able to book one more breakfast PS last week with no problem, so don't give up.

I think the combination of free dining, wine festival and MNSSHP have made increased attendence. We cant get the chef mickey dinner buffet for oct 21. very frustrating!

We leave this weekend also and are staying at the Poly. Your right Pop Century is booked but there are rooms at the mods and the deluxes. Many people booked the free dining plus a CM told me yesterday that it's a big weekend because it's the kickoff for both MMNSHP and the Food and Wine Festival. Call Disney till you get a really good CM that is willing to keep looking for AdR's for your table dining. I had a CM yesterday that was awesome and she looked through cancellations and was very helpful. I hope it all works out and you find some ADR's for your trip. Best of luck.

I'm sorry that you cant get the reservations you want. Keep trying, someone will cancel.

MNSSHP and Food & Wine Festival are attracting more guests I believe. The free dining was a difficult one for me. I was hoping for free dining during my trip as I could use a discount but - if it was driving up the crowd levels I was happy that it was ending before our trip. In any case it will not be summer crowd levels and that is good.

I am trying to change my HDDR reservation from 5PM to 7:30PM and they have everything booked. I thought I was going during one of the least busiest seasons.
I'm not giving up. I call every day and check!!!

Try when you check in to get some. I hope you have some luck with it. A positive way to look at it is, you are not paying for the meals, so if you don't get exactly what you want at least it's not coming from your pocket....ok I'm reaching here to try adn put a positive spin on this.

Actually, that is a really good way to put a positive spin on it Dana!

I'm really sorry to hear about your trouble...I would be frustrated too if I couldn't book any of the places I wanted!

In turn, I'm sure it would make me worry about how bad crowds were going to be in the parks.

Don't worry. This year is busier than normal because of the celebration, but it won't be as packed as the summer. The fall should still be a wonderful time to go. I hope you guys have a great time!

I remember someone reminding us that even though the Disney Resorts may be full, the surrounding hotels are not..so the lines should not be as long as they would be during summer, Christmas or Easter. I hope that this turns out to be true for you.

Like others have said..keep trying, maybe someone will cancel last minute:)

Thanks Everyone! I Tried For 5 Different Restaurants Today And No Openings. What Does This Mean? To Me This Isn't A Good Sign! Anyways I Will Try When We Check-in At Guest Services And Also When We Are In The Park. Maybe They Can Fit Us In The Back Room, Just 2 Of Us! Dana's Right I'm Not Paying For The Meals And I Was Going Anyways At This Time, So What If All I Get To Eat Is Mickey Bars!! I Am Going To Disney!!!!!

AH-HA!!! Twins1023, you just said the magic word: TWO of you. Call back and see if you have any luck making reservations for THREE (and then when you show up, just tell them it will be two of you.) We've recently discussed that reservation times that don't exist for two people magically become available for three people.

It may not work... there really may be nothing... but this is certainly worth another phone call.

Have you tried asking them what IS available on your dates? You could narrow it down to the area you plan to be in, say if you're in th MK, ask for something in that park or at a monorail resort. If you're in Epcot, ask for something there or on the boardwalk or one of the nearby hotels.

You may find a new place that really surprises you. I don't think there's anyplace that would disappoint you.
