Icon9 Anyone else have this problem?

I have been trying at all the websites that I can think of, to find the times that the parks will close, and more specifically, when the fireworks will be during the first two weeks of feb/2006. I can't find them anywhere yet: I know, I know, the aren't yet determined by Disney. But here is the problem... The date that I can try to get a seating @ CRT is Nov 2/2005, & when I spoke to a CM at the WDW-DINE number, she told me that the park hours may not be available at that point. So how can I make ressie's for ANY of my dinners when our plans are to have dinner each night, then see the fireworks. I need to know how the transportation works if we have a late reservation somewhere. Will we be able to get back to the resort OK?
I know that's alot of questions but I'm not good at not being on top of things, & this is really bugging me!!

Re: Anyone else have this problem?

I'm not sure if anyone can help you with the history of park hours in February. Maybe Mickey can help???

Don't stress about the meals YET. In November, if the hours aren't up yet, just try to think of which parks you will do each day and plan your meals around that. Make your ADRs. Then, when the hours come out, if the dinner times you have chosen don't coincide with the fireworks times, you can call immediately to change them.

Here is a link for the hours for Feb 2005. I would hope that they would be close. The hours for Feb 2006 will probably be out around the 20th of December. Hope this helps.

Re: Anyone else have this problem?

OK, but what about the transportation? Will we have any problems with the busses if we have a later ressie? We already are booked at the poly luau.. I'm sure i'm just worrying for nothing, right?? We are staying at the ASMovies.

If the parks (MK in this case) are closed when you are finished with dinner take a bus to Downtown Disney where you can get a bus to your resort. Even easier--treat everyone in your group to a taxi.

Re: Anyone else have this problem?

Sorry, I wanted to say thanks for the link, Don't know where my manners went. If I'm reading the link's hours correct, it would appear that Fantasmic does not go every night. Is this right? We wanted to do one of dinner package things to get into the show, so this could impact our dinner plans again.

The charts are a little misaligned. Fantasmic is/was every night at 7:00. As for transportation the buses run well after everything closes to get people back to their resort. From the Poly Luau you can take the monorail to the transportation center and catch a bus there. Where are you staying? That would here to answer some of you questions as well.

Re: Anyone else have this problem?

We had a late dinner at Epcot this trip. We sat down at 9:00, during Illuminations, and it was at least 10:30 if not 10:45 when we made it back to the front of the park to catch a bus. The bus was waiting for us, just as promised. We had it all to ourselves. My understanding is that if the park has a restaurant that guests will be dining in until late hours, the busses keep waiting. We were the only guests walking out, but CM's were everywhere and I have a hunch that they keep in touch with the front gate people to let them know that guests are on their way out.

I am in the process of booking January right now and am having the same problem. How do you know when and where you want to eat if you don't know the EMH for each day of your trip? If they want you to book 90 days out for meals, then they should have EMH announced 90 days out as well. It is frustrating!

Very good point. I'm not sure why they do it that way.

Re: Anyone else have this problem?

It IS frustrating! When you try to make a comment about it to a CM from dining end, they say that it's not them you need to talk to, but rather someone at the parks info end. And if you try to do the same with a CM from the parks info, they tell you the opposite, and to talk to someone from dining!

So, we are staying at ASMovies, are we OK to book dinner at rainforest cafe in Animal kingdom for around 6.00 PM? Is this feasable for us to get back to our room? Will we have to take a bus to Downtown disney first as suggested above?

Yes, the last time I was there [2004] there where buses running from the parks, both to the resorts as well as to the TC and Downtown Disney, as long as there were guest in the parks. So you should be able to get a bus straight back to your resort.

That's AWESOME! You have no idea how relieved I am! I know it may not be a big deal to all you guys who know what they are doing at the parks, but we've only been once, last year and I'm still trying to do lots of research to have a game plan. Thanks SOOO much for the info.
