Timing is everything!

Timing is everything, so I am asking for help.

I need to make my ADRs tomorrow at 7am. Help me pick the best times for the following.

Friday Evening 1/13/2006
Crystal Palace. We would like to watch wishes and then go to the Crystal Palace for dinner. We have done this before and when we were done with dinner we were the only ones in the park. We had main street all to ourselves. What time should I make the ADR so that I can do this again?

Sunday Evening 1/15/2006.
Ohana's. When should we make our ADR so that we can eat, enjoy the races and contests and still be able to go out on the beach so we can watch wishes and the water parade?

Monday Evening 1/16/2006
Le Cellier. When should we make our PS so that we can still watch illuminations that evening.

Ohana's has the new Stich and Lilo breakfast. You can be one of the first to see it.

Re: Timing is everything!

Thanks Bossmouse, but we always have breakfast in the room. We will do Ohana's, but it would be a night before wishes.

Everywhere I look the restaurants are listed say from 10am - park close. Without the park hours, you don't know when the last ADR will be unitl well into the 90 period.

This frustrates me as well!

As far as the CP adr, when you call you can ask when the latest seating is? And as far as Ohana's, I would try for no later than 7:00, so you are not rushed, and that you won't miss the water pageant and the fireworks. But of course, that is just my opinion!

Oh good thinking, I just realized you were going in January, and wishes will probably be at 8:00, not 9:00.

Re: Timing is everything!

Try doing your dinner at CP for the last available seating. That way you are able to see wishes. Just ask the cm on the phone what is the latest time you can have. As for O'hanna, I would go with a 5pm ADR. That will be more than enough time. As for Le'cellier, I had an 8pm seating there and came out just as illuminations was starting. You can see it right from outside of the restaurant. If you want to pick a more choice seat, them make your ADR for around 6:30-7pm. You can rest your dinner as you sit and wait for the show to start.

That is my pet peeve as well- had a discussion with someone from the grand gatherings when we were discussing the fireworks cruise and I asked her what time it was, and she told me we wouldn't know until November. But I have to make my ADR's on Sunday. GRRRRRRR.

By the way, we will cross weeks while we are there- I get there 1/14.

If you are staying in a Disney Resort, you can make your ADR right now. My 90 day is tomorrow Thursday. I called today and got a lady who said no you have to call back tomorrow. I called back and another lady said, you can make those today since you are a resort guest. They are giving resort guests 100 days out to make ADRs. I am proof that it works.

We want to do that for Crystal Palace. It is a must do with my kids. Right now at 91 days out the latest ADR I can get is 6pm. The CM said that when park hours are announced, later ADRs will open up.

We will see illuminations earlier in the week. I think we may move our ADR back to @9 so that the restaurant will be empty.

6pm? That stinks....park hours will be up soon for that month...you should jump on the later ps then. I never thought to grab the last seating for a park restaurant. That would be so cool to walk through a deserted MK..I should try that next trip. Thanks for the tip. Hope you get that later PS. (I know they are ADRs....I cannot get used to saying it..lol)

Re: Timing is everything!

Do I understand you guys right? Can you watch the fireworks first, then go to dinner? For example: Crystal Palace after Wishes? I am also trying to make my ADR's but don't have a clue what time to book. We know where we want to eat & which days, but that could change with the EMH's.
