2 Adults, which Contemporary restaurant?
I know it's way too early for me to even be thinking about this, haha, but I was wondering what everyone thought of the Concourse Steak House? It will just be my husband and I; Chef Mickey's is starting to wear off on us, California Grill we try to save for Birthdays/Anniversarys, etc... but I've never been to Concourse Steak House! Is it like Le Cellier? what is the food/atmosphere like? I'm not sure I've ever even noticed it!

Re: 2 Adults, which Contemporary restaurant?
We went to the Concourse Steak House last July. It was me DH and DD3. I thought the food was great. It is noisy(one of the reasons we brought DD there, lol), the monorail comes and goes and the noise from Chef Mickeys is evident. Personally if it were just me and DH (no kids) I would have chose the Cali Grill because I think it would be more romantic. That said, I would eat there again. We had the best dinner there!

Re: 2 Adults, which Contemporary restaurant?
I enjoyed CS, the service was good, when my DD's steak was not cooked enough they bought it back and bought us a free Heineken. I thought that was very nice of them. The atmosphere was nothing special but nothing bad! You get to watch the monorail go through the building while you eat. I thought it was just as good as Le Cellier, the only thing I liked better at LC was the appys and the lobster tail with the surf and turf! Was the surf and turf with the lobster tail still on the menu when you went to LC? What did you have at LC?

Re: 2 Adults, which Contemporary restaurant?
I went there this past January and really didn't like it all that much. The food was fine enough, but it's seriously congested and loud. There is chef mickey's loud and unnecessary loud, and I found this place to be unnecessary loud. I just didn't enjoy it there and probally won't go again. The restaurant is just crammed and like it was put there as an afterthought. The food was decent enough, but the atsmosphere was like a school cafeteria. Just my opinion.

Re: 2 Adults, which Contemporary restaurant?
We were at the Califorina Grill in Feb of 2005. DD went to the Kids club at the Poly and we went to the California Grill. We really enjoyed it. Great food good atmosphere, a good adult atmosphere. There were families there also... but not very many. I would go there again w/o my kids!
If you are there at the right time you can watch the fireworks in the MK. |

Re: 2 Adults, which Contemporary restaurant?
I would agree with the general comments. The food is pretty good, and I remember the breads being fantastic. However, it is right next to Chef Mickey's, and right below the monorail, the atmosphere couldn't be much worse. If you are just looking for a quick dinner that is good, this is a good place. If you want something more romantic, go elsewhere.

Re: 2 Adults, which Contemporary restaurant?
we had lunch and dinner at the concourse steakhouse and enjoyed our time there. i thought the food was good and it was really nice. the monorail is distracting, but we had a nice time. i recommend the california grill for two adults. it is romantic, great food, and excellent views! it's also a great spot to see wishes.

Re: 2 Adults, which Contemporary restaurant?
Our family ate for the first time at Chef Mickeys this past January and loved it. We had never even gotten off the monorail and 'nosed' around the Contemporary before so this was really exciting. We noticed the Concourse steakhouse whilst waiting for our disc 'thingy' to light up for Chef Mickey's and thought it looked really nice ( as did the menu) but we were suprised to see it practically empty.
We said we would go back and have a meal there before we left but when we did get there, it was again empty so we decided that this did not bode too well. California grill is the vote from me. Always good food and nice atmosphere.

Re: 2 Adults, which Contemporary restaurant?
I LOVE California Grill! It is on the top of the Contemporary. Seriously, you have to go up to the roof! The food there is so good, and you can really get a good view of Wishes from there. They turn down the lights and you can hear the music and everything! We went on our anniversary and it was soooo romantic!
