New 'Ohana menu review
We got home on Thursday and I wanted to share my take on the new 'Ohana menu with everyone.
Let me start by saying that I was very ANTI changing the menu--I loved the old menu and counted 'Ohana as one of my top two favorite restaurants at WDW--so you can imagine how forlorn I was to find that they were changing it. I had two PSs at 'Ohana and canceled one of them, but decided to keep the other just to check out the changes. As it turned out--skeptical as we were--we loved the new menu! We aren't seafood eaters, so the changes in the shrimp (from the skewers to an "appetizer") didn't affect us; the stir-fried veggies that replaced my beloved green beans were fantastic (loved the sugar snap peas!!) and were just as good if not better than the beans; the cheese and onion scalloped potatoes that replaced my favorite rice were amazing and didn't seem at all out of place with the Polynesian theme like I thought they might; and the sausage that replaced the shrimp on the skewers was excellent. The bread pudding that replaced the pineapple and caramel was also wonderful (though I do miss the refreshing, light taste of pineapple after such a big meal--the bread pudding is anything but light). I didn't like that all of the appetizers came out in drips and drabs and not all at once, because that causes you to fill up on the first appetizers that come out (to quench the ravenous hunger we all cultivate before we go to an all-you-can-eat meal) and you don't really save enough room for the other appetizers, the meats, or dessert. My advice--keep (or make) your PSs for 'Ohana, but be sure to save room to try a bit of all of the food. Sometimes change is good. :)

Re: New 'Ohana menu review
I am so happy to hear a positive review on the new menu. I just tried getting a ps there and they are booked solid until 9pm and that is just to late for dinner for us. I look forward to going there next trip.

Re: New 'Ohana menu review
We went for breakfast there and loved it. This time we're going to try O'Hana for dinner on our next trip. Sounds like a good choice of food. My boys love food served on screwers.

Thanks Bali. It's good to hear positive reviews. I think I might just like it myself. Not all change is bad.

Re: New 'Ohana menu review
We can't wait to try it when we're there in January. We're eating there on our last night in WDW. By then our family may need some "'Ohana"

Re: New 'Ohana menu review
thanks Bali. I myself am open to the changes. I have not tried it so cannot hate it. I am not a fan of B&B Pudding but ill certainly give it a go on my next vacation. All sounds lovely to me.

Re: New 'Ohana menu review
Thanks so much for your review...I was really uncertain about O'hana's after the menu change. Now I think we'll keep our PS's.

Re: New 'Ohana menu review
Actually the bread pudding is quite nasty and disgusting.
