180 day Dine Booking Window

Effective today, Friday, October 28, 2005, WDW will start to publish a 6-month calendar of operating hours. Our website, disneyworld.com is being updated with the information today.

With this change, we will encourage guests to plan their itineraries, especially dining, farther in advance.

Effective immediately, the Dining booking window will increase to 180 days for table service locations.

All DRS availability should be updated before 7:00 am to reflect the 180 day booking window.

Children’s activity centers and special events, such as Neverland Club, Pirate’s Cruise, Wonderland Tea, are included in this change. Recreation and Tours are not changing at this time.

We will continue to offer WDW Resort Guests the benefit to book their entire length of stay (up to 10 days) when they call 180 days from their Resort arrival date.

If you have reservations already, you are all set.

I'm just happy that the calendar will be out ahead of time. It will make it so much easier when trying to do dining reservations.

Yeppers! It is true! I just called CRO to confirm it.

Here is another little tidbit. This one may not make folks happy though. Starting in February, when you call to make a dining arrangements to dine with the princesses at CRT, and at the Storybook Breakfast at Epcot, you will be required to pay for the meal in full.

Way cool! So when cabin fever set in, I'll be able to lock in my feed bag stops. Look out WDW, after my guys step up the the buffett, it will look like locust struck.

I just called and got CRT for March 12, yah! As noted, the price now includes pictures of everyone in your group with Cinderella, delived to your resort. The cost is much more expensive now:

Breakfast: $31.99 ages 10 and up; $21.99 ages 3-9
Lunch: $33.99 ages 10 and up; $22.99 ages 3-9
Dinner: $39.99 ages 10 and up; $24.99 ages 3-9

And also, for those on the dining plan, any meal at CRT will now cost 2 sit down meals, similar to a dinner show. You must also pay for the entire meal in advance, for any reservations after February 1, 2006, with a 48 hour cancellation window.

These changes do not take place until 2/1/06.

I hate to be the voice of dissent... but 180 days seems really excessive to me! While I love that they've got their schedule published that far in advance, as long as they DO have that schedule, 90 days seems quite reasonable.

However... I am glad for the people who hear about this now and, like Mickey, can take advantage of the three months of CRT reservations that just opened up!
