HELP!!!!! I need help with this ...

Hi All~
I have a huge problem on my sholders and I need help with this. I want to book the Disney Princess tea at the GF but I am totally undecided on what to do.

As it stands now it will be $400 plus tax.

My kids know nothing of this so its not like our trip depends on this. I wanna give my kids the experience this trip but i dont know if I should.
Is egg salad and pb and jelly really worth $400 for 4 of us?

Also I am on the Dining plan and have managed to book CRT and also princess storybook dinner so I know that Arura will be there.
Has anyone done this???? Do you have pics??? Any help on what I should do please offer

I've never done it, nor do I know what it's like. But I can say, I would never spend $400+ on a meal. Ever. My kids can hate me all they want, they'll get over it.

I can't imagine it being worth that kind of money. And I don't think your kids will care.

My kids have been to WDW twice. This morning DD asked if we went again if she could go swimming. I don't think you have to give kids everything at WDW.

Sounds a bit like overkill, wouldn't you say? You've got a lot of pricesses booked there. I would not do all of it on the same trip. I think kids don't remember that you spend such amounts, they'll remember being at the parks with you and having a good time.
My expectations for that kind of money would be way out there, they could never deliver.

Swimming. Thats too funny.. Last trip my DD7 wanted to do nothing but SWIM!! I had a hard time getting her into the parks and out of the pool. Im still undecided on waht im gonna to do. I think Im not going to do it but the kids get a princess doll a tiera and scrapbook stuff bracelets and all so who knows... HELP....im going to go crazy thinking about this.. Who knows.. My DH will never want to do this anyway... I dont know..... I need to see a shrink!!!!! LOL

You are right!!!!! Go to Disneyworld.com and look it up. The menu is Crap!! Egg salad cheese and some other stuff. My Dh would probally KILL me..
I will buy the doll at WOD before hand and that is that!!!!! Thanks all for the help!!! 3 negative is enough for me!!!!!!!LOL

I think the two princess meals are going to be just great. I am sure your girls won't mind missing the tea. In my opinion, $400 buys a lot of goodies and souvenirs, I don't think I'd do the tea. But, I have boys, so I will never have to make that call. Unless of course I have grand daughters some day, and then, I am sure I would do the tea!!!

Let it go. You can buy tiera & scrapbook souvegniers a whole lot cheaper.

I guess what you have to ask yourself is do you want this for you or for your kids? And you said yourself DD7 would rather swim than go to the parks. So...

You can SHOWER them in Princess gifts for $400. If you want to make the meals a little more personal and special, give them a special gift there--like a charm bracelet, or watch or something. Or you could hide pressies in your room and tell the girls the Princesses sent them.

I have looked at the tea and thought wonderful things about it, but I couldn't spend the money on it.

Sounds like WDW is saying, if you have an extra $400.00 that means nothing to you, we will take it if you would like to give it to us. You can't blame them.

This is at GF. From my lowly value resort world, things like this cater to the richest of guests.

That's not a bash or a jealous comment. Just a fact, WDW is going to offer things to rich people who stay with them.

I still think WDW provides a great value as a vacation spot. I mean compare a trip to a 2hour movie with popcorn & coke to a full 12+ hour day at the parks. Or theater tickets. A Disney vacation may be expensive, but it still remains a great value for the working class stiff.

You know, we REALLY debated this too and then I read all of the reviews on allearsnet and we figure we will only do this one time and we did decide to go! I am paying $356 for my 2 daughters and me

!! I was not sure but my DH made a good point about how special this would be for my DD's and me!! You definitely should read the reviews on allearsnet! EVERY person loved it! I agree it is ALOT of $$$$$$ but it soulds incredible!
When are you thinking about doing it? If it is after December I will be doing a TR when we get back and I will post pictures too!!
Believe me I am right there with you, I am still not sure I want to py that amount!! But I do know my DD's will love it!
