I've never done the Hoop-de-Doo revue, but I've heard a lot of great things about it. The luau.....I'm afraid I can't recommend it. It is IMHO overpriced, the food is mediocre and the show, while fun, really doesn't pick up until the final section with the traditional dances from the different islands. (and the fire dancers, of course!).

In short, I would go with Hoop-de-Doo! And welcome to DC!!!

We have done both, several times. I think they are both great shows. Maybe the kids would like the food better at the Hoop de doo Revue.. Although, the food is good at the Luau too. Such a decision... Can you do both, then you don't have to decide!!!! ????

We did the Luau and I have to agree with quakercub. The show was very slow starting, the end of the show was the best part. We did however enjoy the food. It is not on my need to hurry back list but in a few years if it is still there we would go again just to try the food again. But I cant wait to try Hoop De Doo. It is on my list for our October trip.

We did the luau for Thanksgiving a couple of years ago, and you know what????

'Ohana is better!!!!!!!!! Just a hundred yards away, too.... we really wanted to just grab our drinks and head back inside to the fun and yummy food of 'Ohana!

I'm the only person on DC who doesn't like Ohana. LOVE Tambu Lounge, but not Ohana. Felt really rushed, disregarded by the staff, and food was eh.
