We have done and absolutely love Hoop De Doo! Great food, show and fun!
Luau we have heard both neg and pos about it.

We have done both over the years. Would have to vote for H.D.D.R. It is a fun show and the food is good.

I have done the Luau, but have never done Hoop-Dee-Doo. But I'd STILL vote for Hoop-Dee-Doo. Not that the Luau was bad, but because I've heard so many good things about Hoop-Dee-Doo.

WOO HOO!!!! This debate comes up every few months or so and I LOVE being the sole defender of the Luau! I've done both, and if you have little kids, the Hoop De Doo is better, but if not, definitely go for the luau! It's one of my favorite things at WDW!

I agree with Jenny. We went to the early Luau with 2 DSs (5 & 12) after a long day, and the little one was literally falling asleep. The beginning was good, then it got mellow. We left early, as did quite a few people with little kids. Wish they would have put the fire dances earlier. We're trying Hoop De Doo this time around.

Hoop Dee Doo, hands down. We enjoyed the Luau, but we filed it in the "been there, done that" file. We can't wait to go back to HDDR again!

Another vote for Hoop Dee Doo here - I have done both and found the HDDR more lively and entertaining. The food was good too. The food at the Luau was ok and the setting is beautiful, but the show itself seemed like a lot of audience participation yelling "Aloha!"

Well...this is a tuff one for me

I love Hoop dee doo..have done a few times....but...I also have a special place in my heart for the luau

I think since we did HDD on our last trip it would have to be the luau....gotta support my hula habit

I find the Hoop de Doo kind of grating. I like the luau for the food and the fire dancing.
